stacking the shelves – a weekly meme hosted by tynga’s reviews & reading reality
what I have been up to:
Apart from spending money on books and bookish things (seriously, I’ve bought so many things the last couple of weeks) I’ve been mostly spending my time catching up on reading and going to the cinema.
I went to see the latest book-to-movie adaptation Love, Simon which was absolutely amazing. I also went to see Blockers (so funny), A Quiet Place (very unnerving) and Ghost Stories (which was disappointing).
I (ahem) may have gone a little bit mad with the book buying but I can’t feel too badly about it since I got so many great books!
This series looks so good – I can’t believe I haven’t come across it before because it is totally a ‘Brin’ series!
When Everything Is Blue and His Truth were both so, so good guys. Highly recommend both of them!
I really loved this duology – so happy to have found a new m/m author to read!
I’ve heard so many good things about The Wicker King – can’t wait to read it! It looks like something I would really enjoy since it’s angst aplenty!
I read (and loved!) A Lightning Struck Heart, the first book in the series but I held off reading books 2 and 3 until book 4: A Wish Upon the Stars was out! I already own The Cruel Prince but I wanted an eBook copy as well.
vintage books bought:
A trip down memory lane with Kelly Blake, Teen Model! It’s been years since I read this series. I couldn’t resist when I stumbled across a lot of the full six book series on eBay.
I already own The Outsiders but i couldn’t resist this film tie-in copy! Loving the cover!
I also picked up quite a few review copies which look really, really good. I was trying to cut down on ARCs but I just couldn’t resist these beauts!
