what’s the buzz: preloved haul

Well, it’s coming to the end of my two-week holiday; so what better way to celebrate than with a preloved vintage book haul? Seriously though, it’s been a great two weeks. I’ve pretty much managed to unplug and it has sorely needed. I can’t say I’m looking forward to going back to work exactly. But, I’m not dreading it either which is pretty good.

As for this week, I was actually sick for a part of it. However, that was not going to let that stop me from doing things. Went to the cinema twice, the first time to see ‘BlacKkKlansman’ and the second to see ‘The Predator’. Apart from that, have just spent the rest of my time gaming, watching Netflix and net surfing. 😉

As I mentioned above, the majority of my haul this week is preloved vintage books. I picked up some Joan Lowery Nixon books. Also some of the ‘Chalet School’ series and a couple of ‘Point Horror: Nightmare Hall’ titles (only one of which has arrived).

First up is this collection of Joan Lowery Nixon books I picked up on eBay. I was a big fan of these as a young teen. I’m definitely looking forward to getting stuck into these! I also tracked down a copy of ‘Truth or Die’ on Amazon Marketplace. For some ungodly reason this book seems to go for upwards of about approx. £40.00. However, I managed to get this one for under £4.00!

I’ve been meaning to buy some of the Chalet School books for ages but I’ve always held off because I am a collector at heart and would want them all! Nevertheless, I couldn’t resist this set so I suppose I’ve gone and done it now haha! Ah well, down the rabbit hole I go… 😀

non preloved book haul

Although I mainly bought vintage and preloved books this week, I did get a couple of deals on Kindle books which I just couldn’t resist (I can’t resist a lot of things, it seems). 😉

I’ve had my eye on ‘Sleeping Giants’ for some time. With this in mind, when I saw it was up for Kindle Daily Deal of the day this week I knew it was time! Not to mention the other bargains I happened across. Above all, I do appreciate a good bargain and you get some pretty great ones for Kindle. 😊
