This is my 300th blog post – woohoo! I never thought I would reach 100 posts let alone 300. I can be quite bad for starting something and then my interest wanes after initially being very enthusiastic and energised. I am glad to say that blogging seems to hold some longevity for me. I really enjoy it, sure I get burned out now and then but not enough for me to cease blogging altogether. I also feel that the blogging community is a very supportive one. I have always felt like a bit of an outsider when it comes to online interaction. I have joined forums galore but always felt too shy to participate much.
I really noticed a difference when I joined Goodreads. Everyone was very welcoming and I didn’t feel as shy putting my opinions across. This is even more true of blogging. After an initially uneven start, when I really starting posting more frequently and visiting other blogs more, the community couldn’t have been more welcoming.
I am still a newbie in many ways (social media such as twitter is still a bit of a mystery to me) but so many people have been kind and supportive. What I really like about the book blogging community is that everyone is really more than willing to help each other out. More experienced bloggers take the time to post handy hints and tips on blogging; from the technical side to the critical analysis side. There really is a wealth of information out there which has been incredibly helpful.
I just wanted to say thank you to all the people who have taken the time to stop by my blog and for all of those who have devoted so much time to helping out less experienced bloggers by posting so much relevant and helpful information. I am probably going to sound sappy here but all of the wonderful blogs out there have really helped motivate and inspire me to try new things and put myself out there more.
