April Showers (Bring May Flowers)
This is a fun topic as April for sure does bring many, many showers (at least it does in Scotland haha!). I’ve always looked forward to the month of April regardless of its reputation as being the rainiest of months (I’m always glad to see the back of cold and miserable January and February, not to mention changeable March!) and knowing spring is finally here. I’ve always liked the old proverb/poem that goes:
“March winds and April showers bring forth May flowers”
It’s a nice little sentiment and one that has stuck in my head since childhood. There are many variations of this but the simplest is sometimes the best and it always makes me smile when I hear it. Ergo, I’m going to be listing covers that include rain (as a visual) but also including some with flowers too (because that’s the one bonus of all that rain!) 😉
