Stacking the Shelves – a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews & Reading Reality
what’s the buzz: bank holiday weekend!
Very excited to have a three-day weekend as it is a bank holiday on Monday! Woohoo! (can you tell I’m excited?) I haven’t had my summer holiday yet (only another week to go!) so I’m really needing this wee break.
It has actually been a really quick week. Work has been super-busy but it has totally made the time fly in. Went to the cinema on my day off (I only work part-time, in case you were wondering about all these days off haha!)
We ended up going to see ‘Unfriended: Dark Web’ which was actually really bloody scary, not because of the film itself, but the whole concept of people being able to hack into your computer/devices – yeesh… Anyway, it gave me a lot of food for thought. It really is important to keep yourself safe online.
bank holiday haul
The Twins at St Clare’s by Enid Blyton | Claudine at St Clare’s by Enid Blyton | The O’Sullivan Twins by Enid Blyton | Summer Term at St Clare’s by Enid Blyton | Second Form at St. Clare’s by Enid Blyton | Fifth Formers At St Clare’s by Enid Blyton
I already own the ‘St Clare’s’ series by Enid Blyton but I didn’t have these particular editions (my set were a newer set – from the 1980’s I believe – if memory serves). I really love the old-school covers!
Jinxed by Amy McCulloch | Catwoman: Soulstealer by Sarah J. Maas
I wasn’t going to include the Sarah J. Maas book in this haul (since I already own this book) but these books just look so pretty together (and very fitting too!)
All These Beautiful Strangers by Elizabeth Klehfoth | The Faceless Woman by Emma Hamm | He Forgot to Say Goodbye by Benjamin Alire Sáenz
I picked up these three beauties all for less than £4.00 – what a great bargain! I was so chuffed because now I will have a few more (like I really needed them!) books to read this bank holiday weekend.
Desperation by C.B. Stone | The Healer by C.J. Anaya | Rock-A-Bye Baby by L.R.W. Lee
All of these beauts were free on Kindle, if you can believe it (well, you should because I’m telling you haha!) I love getting a wee freebie now and again. 😉
Have a great bank holiday everyone (well, those of us in the UK!)
