Best Books I’ve Read So Far in 2018
It’s so hard trying to narrow down my list of the best books I’ve read so far in 2018 (so hard!) but I’ll do my best. This really is a tough one for me because I have read so many wonderful books this year. Here are my top 5 (in no particular order):
1. Carry On by Rainbow Rowell
This book was the first one to really wow we this year. I am not sure why it took me so long to finally read it but when I did I was not disappointed. I cannot wait for the sequel (which was just announced recently squee!!) Baz has my heart and Simon has my soul. I love them both so very much.
2. In Other Lands by Sarah Rees Brennan
I love, love, love Elliott – I just want to squish his little grumpy face! Seriously, I have never felt such camaraderie with a character in my whole life. Elliott is just… something else! I also loved Luke and Serene and Golden… and all the rest of those little miscreants. Seriously, if you haven’t read this book yet, what are you waiting for??
3. The Cruel Prince by Holly Black
I’m kinda late hopping on the Holly Black express (despite reading and loving ‘The Darkest Part of the Forest a few years ago) but I am totally a convert now! I loved this book with a fiery passion and I absolutely cannot wait for the ‘The Wicked King’. I just need more Jude and Cardan in my life…
4. The King’s Men by Nora Sakavic
I love the whole trilogy but this book, it just broke me in the best possible way. If any pairing could come close to Simon and Baz as my OTP, it’s definitely Neil and Andrew. I love both of them and every single other damn character in this book. Honestly, this series is just the absolute best of the best.
5. Trick by Natalia Jaster
I debated with myself for ages about which book would take the last spot but I had to give it to Natalia Jaster. ‘Trick’ is an absolute blinder of a book. I so love Poet and Briar and their love story is just so sweet.

I’m so excited for that Carry On sequel!!
This is the first time I’ve heard about Trick, it sounds amazing! <3 I'm adding it to my tbr!
I’m posting my favorites of the year next week, but I’ve been procrastinating writing the post because narrowing it down is too hard! I read Carry On years ago and adored it. I still need to read Cruel Prince. I’m on a waitlist for it, but the list is massive.
I’m so excited to read The Cruel Prince – glad to see that you enjoyed it!
