Stacking the Shelves – a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews & Reading Reality
what’s the buzz: weekly round-up
It’s been a fairly dull week for the most part, even my bookish haul is pretty small this week. With Christmas creeping up (yikes) not got as much money to throw at books unfortunately. I suppose it’s for the best – my bookshelves are groaning as it is!
bookish haul – books bought
Just a couple of titles this week. Mostly vintage books but I did get one gorgeous special edition (see below). So it may be small but I’m definitely happy with the books I got. 🙂
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
I’ve been waiting on this special collector’s edition to come out for a while now and it certainly didn’t disappoint! The cover is stunning, the endpapers are gorgeous and the artwork by Kevin Wada is just perfect! I love it so much. 😍😍
Ice Orchids by Elena Yates Eulo | Stage Fright by Erica Field | Stranger With My Face by Lois Duncan | The Haunting of Frances Rain by Margaret Buffie
I am super-intrigued by ‘Ice Orchids’ – the cover is just so trippy! I am also looking forward to reading ‘The Haunting of Frances Rain’ and I’m also loving the cover!
Legion Lost by K.C. Finn | Punk 57 by Penelope Douglas
I am also really happy to add these two books to my ever-increasing Kindle collection (my bookish haul of Kindle books is getting monstrous though!)
bookish haul – review books
After the Fire by Will Hill | Second Star by J.M. Sullivan
I have been wanting to read ‘After the Fire’ for ages so was super-happy to be approved! I also am really looking forward to ‘Second Star’ – I love Peter Pan retellings!
Between the Lines by Sally Malcolm | The Artist and the Soldier by Angelle Petta
When I read the synopsis for each of these books I knew I had to read them! Definitely worth adding to my bookish haul this week!

YIKES, Christmas. *covers eyes*
I am curious about AFTER THE FIRE! I debated on requesting it, but didn’t!
Oh, WOW. That Six of Crows special edition is GORGEOUS! I may have to put that on my Christmas wishlist.
I hope you enjoy Punk 57 as much as I did (and all your other new books too). Have a great weekend.
Ooh, pretty special edition. Also, you got After The Fire! I’m envious. I considered buying that one when it came out in the UK, but I’ve been patiently waiting for the US release. I hope you enjoy all these!
I love your list full of lots of different types of books! I hope you have a great weekend 🙂
