Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and The Bookish. This week’s theme is:
Deserted Island Companions of Choice
This is a pretty cool topic! There are a few characters I wouldn’t mind being stranded with for various reasons! Here are my top ten picks:
Gansey (The Raven Boys quartet) – because I would never, ever be bored (c’mon, Gansey is full of interesting facts and figures!) Plus, it’s Gansey… 😉
Hermione (Harry Potter series) – because Hermione is kickass and awesome! Plus, she is also a font of knowledge and I would never be bored.
Tucker Avery (Unearthly trilogy) – because he is sweet, charming and funny (which is always a good mix). Plus I can see him being the handy type – he would have a shelter up in no time!
The Merrick brothers (Elemental series) – yes, ALL the Merrick brothers, I can’t get enough of Chris, Gabriel, Nick and Michael (especially Michael… for reasons) 😉 They count for numbers 4, 5, 6, and 7.
Katniss Everdeen (Hunger Games trilogy) – because the girl can hunt! You might not get much in the way of conversation from Katniss but she is the consummate survivor.
Finnick (Hunger Games trilogy) – because the dude knows how to catch a fish (which is kinda a useful skill on a deserted island). Plus, ya know, he is smoking hot!
Carswell Thorne (Lunar Chronicles) – because he rocks! Seriously, I just love Thorne so you’re gonna have to give me this one for no practical reason whatsoever!
Yup, most of my reasons are pretty shallow – what can I say?!

Oooh the Merrick brothers! Great choice! Super helpful, but also fun!
Thanks – any excuse to put them on the list really (although they would be helpful)! 😉
Only read one of those books and I wasn’t a fan of it though I could see how Katness could be a lot of help. 🙂 The other characters I don’t really know. I first thought of Vampire Bill just because before I read the books I watched True Blood and Stephen Moyer is hot, so I always picture him as Vamp. Bill when reading..lol…I could also see Harry Dresden being there..he does magic so that could be fun. 🙂
I love the Hunger Games books but the first time I tried to read the first book I couldn’t get into it at all…wasn’t until I tried it again a few years later that it became a favourite!
I haven’t read the Sookie Stackhouse books but I have watched some of the series – more an Eric fan though. 😉 I really need to read the Harry Dresden books too…someday!! 😀
Of course I picked Gansey too 🙂 Tucker isn’t a bad pick either, love him!
Of course! 😉 Excellent choice if I do say so myself!!
I loved Tucker – so much better than Christian!!
That’s a lot of brothers to have on one island. And all magical realism aside, I hope for your sake blood isn’t thicker than water if they happen to build only a 4-person craft to get off the island!
Cheers,
joey via. thoughts and afterthoughts
True. They are after all very loyal – to each other!! 😉
I picked Finnick for fairly much the same reasons!!
LOL – he seems to be a pretty popular choice! 😉
I love that gif 😀
Loki gifs are always appropriate!! 😀
