Stacking the Shelves – a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews & Reading Reality
what I have been up to
Just a mini haul this week, for a change! I’ve had a lot going on and not much time to acquire books (although that usually doesn’t stop me!) Lots of blog issues, yada yada… Honestly, it’s not been the greatest week for me. Still, I did find time to accumulate some books (mainly vintage) and get out to the cinema.
We went to see Hotel Artemis which was alright. But damn, can I just say Sterling K. Brown is one fine specimen of a man? *fans self* Definitely the best part of the film along with Sofia Boutella (girl crush alert!) 😉
mini book haul
The Gemini Factor by Thea Bennett | Last Seen On Hopper’s Lane by Janet Allais Stegeman | New Faces by Linda A. Cooney | That Was Then, This Is Now by S.E. Hinton | Mermaid Summer by Mollie Hunter | A Sound of Chariots by Mollie Hunter
Some interesting vintage titles this week. I’ve been collecting the numerous ‘Lions Teen Tracks’ books and the ‘Class of 89’ series so I’m one step closer to completing the collection!
I was really chuffed to get this edition of ‘That Was Then, This Is Now’ in the July ‘Prudence and the Crow’ box. Got another edition a few weeks back but although it was ‘Teen Tracks’ edition, it has a different cover. I love getting different editions of books! The version pictured above is the one I remember my local library having which is pretty cool.
Heart of Thorns by Bree Barton
Only one new book this week (it came in a book box). This edition is super-pretty. I hadn’t heard of the book but it looks pretty interesting. Plus, the cover is gorgeous!

Interesting vintage titles. Enjoy 🙂
Glad you enjoyed the movie – or at least Sterling. Yes, he is one of best things about This Is Us. Have a great week.
