Top Ten Tuesday is an awesome meme previously hosted by the lovely folks @ The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl

Today’s Topic is:

Most Anticipated Releases for the First Half of 2019

There are a lot of books I’m looking forward to coming out this year. Wayward Son by Rainbow Rowell probably tops the list but we don’t yet have a definitive date for its release yet so it hasn’t been included in this post. I’m also not including The Wicked King by Holly Black because it’s out today (and I have it in my grubby little hands!) 😉

1. king of scars by leigh bardugo

top ten tuesday most anticipated list 2019

I’m definitely running out of time to read the Grisha trilogy (well, re-read the first book) and Six of Crows/Crooked Kingdom before this comes out but I still want to try to aim for it! This releases on January 29th.

2. The Cold Is in Her Bones by Peternelle van Arsdale

I love books about mythology/folklore so this one sounds like something I would really enjoy. The cover is pretty eye-catching too. This releases on January 22nd.

3. Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson

I have Enchantment of Ravens by the same author but alas I haven’t read it (yet). That doesn’t mean that I’m not excited for this one (and I have serious cover-lust for this book as well!) This comes out on  June 4th.

4. Fever King by Victoria Lee

This book has an extremely interesting premise and I’m really looking forward to it being released. It definitely sounds right up my alley. It comes out March 1st.

5. A Curse So Dark and Lovely by Brigid Kemmerer

top ten tuesday most anticipated list 2019

I love Brigid Kemmerer’s books anyway so this is a must-have! The fact that it is a Beauty and the Beast retelling is just icing on the cake! It releases January 29th.

6. I Wish You All the Best by Mason Deaver

top ten tuesday most anticipated list 2019

This books sounds pretty awesome (and yay for diversity – one of the protagonists is non-binary). I’m really looking forward to this one. It comes out May 14th.

7. Blood Heir by Amélie Wen Zhao

top ten tuesday most anticipated list 2019

I’m really loving the sound of this book (and the cover is very aesthetically pleasing and instantly draws me in). I’m definitely excited for Blood Heir. This comes out June 4th.

8. Descendant of the Crane by Joan He

top ten tuesday most anticipated list 2019

Words alone cannot describe how much I am looking forward to this book (and I have an ARC so extra lucky too!) This book just sounds amazing. It releases on April 2nd.

9. Enchantée by Gita Trelease

top ten tuesday most anticipated list 2019

I am really fascinated by the synopsis for this book and the cover is very glitzy and glamorous! I am definitely looking forward to reading it. It comes out February 5th.

10. The Music of What Happens by Bill Konigsberg

top ten tuesday most anticipated list 2019

Last, but by no means least, is The Music of What Happens. I’ve been meaning to check this author out for ages so this book might just be the perfect place to start. It comes out January 29th.

  1. Ok, first and foremost I love the aesthetic of your blog. It is so beautiful! 🙂
I’ve been meaning to read an Enchantment of Ravens, so I’m definitely intrigued by Sorcery of Thorns. I’ve seen Enchantee on a few lists as well, and after reading the synopsis I think I may have to read it. Nice list!
