Question: What is on your gaming wishlist?

shadow of mordor

Shadow of Mordor without a shadow of a doubt (see what I did there?). It helps that I already know that my other half has bought me this game for Christmas (thanks honey!) and I absolutely cannot wait to play it. I am a huge Tolkien nerd so this game has got me in a bit of a tizzy! It looks completely awesome.

Recommendation: Something to gift to a friend!

halo

The Halo games have always been a personal favourite so this bundle consisting of: Halo CE Anniversary; Halo 2 Anniversary; Halo 3 & Halo 4; Halo Nightfall (Digital Series); and Halo 5 Guardians Multiplayer Beta is a definite must-have. It is such a great deal it is definitely something I would recommend (nay gift!) to a friend.

Currently Playing:

dragon age inq1

If you have been following my blog at all you will know I have been on tenterhooks waiting for Dragon Age: Inquisition to be released. Now that it has all I can say is that it is… glorious!! I am 80+ hours into the game and there are still some areas I have yet to unlock! I am having an absolute ball with this game – it was so worth the wait!!

I will be doing a detailed review when I finish the game (if I ever finish the game that is!) but I can’t resist sharing a couple of screenies!!

  1. I played Dragon Age once a long time ago and didn’t care for it much, so I am curious to see how much it has changed over time. A few weeks ago I rented Assassin’s Creed Rogue and now it’s on my must buy soon list as I just want to play it some more! Huge Assassin’s Creed fan and I need an Xbox One like really bad..so wish I had extra spending money..lol. 🙂

    • I loved DA: Origins but it is a slow game to start – it’s closer in spirit to games like Baldur’s Gate and Neverwinter Nights. DA2 is definitely more action-based and DA: Inquisition is a nice blend of the two with open world elements thrown in!!

Assassin’s Creed is awesome – I loved the second game so much!!

I love my new Xbox One – worth every penny!! It does suck not having the money to buy things though.

  2. Dragon Age is on my wishlist, I need that game badly! Shadows of Mordor was a lot of fun, I love Tolkien’s world and enjoyed the liberties the developers took with the story. Plus the rivalry system is pretty cool! I definitely want the Master Chef Collection too, but I totally forgot to put it on my list.

  3. It’s the new year and I *still* have not played Dragon Age. I’m waiting to upgrade my current laptop so I can actually play games without it freezing up. The game looks great, and I have heard many MANY good things! o:
