Stacking the Shelves – a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews & Reading Reality
what I have been up to
I didn’t mean to take such a long (and unplanned) break from my blog but life sorta got in the way over the last couple of weeks. Honestly , I cannot believe how close to Christmas we now are! I have various night outs planned over the next week or so. Also, I have some time booked off work so I’m definitely going to be plenty busy!
I’ve been busy sorting out my new bookshelves and it has been slow-going but definitely worth it to get all of my books out on display! I’m about 80% finished so I’m hopeful that I should be finished soon. Hopefully I can get back to doing fun things like #bookstagram again. I also would like to keep up with posting every week (my last post was 3 weeks ago).
books bought over my unplanned break
Now, just because I took a bit of a break from my blog, that doesn’t mean I took a break from buying books! I have tried to stick to a book-buying ban but it just doesn’t seem to work. Ah well, maybe in the new year! I’m also a day late with this post but better late than never I suppose… 😉
Have been meaning for ages to buy these books and I finally got round to it! Have been pretty immune to bad-boy Javier’s charms thus far but these might just sway me over…
I mainly bought Where the Stars Rise for the Karin Lowachee story but the rest looks really awesome too! I also am really interested in finding more about the ‘real-life’ mindhunter after getting hooked on the series.
Another couple of Nightmares books added to my collection. I’ve nearly got the full set – only four to go!
Also stumbled across another couple of Sweet Dreams books going cheap so I couldn’t resist. Moondial is a book I’ve never read but I vaguely remember watching the series.
Also picked up the first book in the The Quantock Quartet. I’ve heard a lot of good things so I am rather eager to try this one out. Run for Your Life is a book I have been seeking out for ages, imagine my delight when it cropped up in last month’s Prudence and the Crow box!
books for review
I’m really looking forward to starting The Traitor’s Crux and Coral and Bone. Killman Creek also looks really good and I have the first book already so… 😉
I requested this on Netgalley not realizing it was the second book! I must now track down book one post-haste!!
books received in book boxes
Some great reads to be found in these book boxes (Illumicrate, Fairyloot, and Book Box Club). All of these are books I was highly anticipating so win/win!
Not to mention some truly awesome ARCs – so excited for these!! Both of these books have been on my radar so I am over the moon to get an ARC for these!
And just to bring my emotions back to a calm, soothing level – I also got this cute little colouring book!

Welcome back to the blog world. Your book haul is serious! All the best getting through them. Hope there are some you really end up loving.
So glad to see you got Where the Stars Rise. I read it last month and really enjoyed all of the stories.
