Stacking the Shelves – a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews & Reading Reality

what’s the buzz: weekly round-up

This week was busy, busy, busy – as the run up to Christmas usually is! That’s me off work now for almost two blessed weeks – hallelujah! To say I’ve been looking forward to this would be an understatement!

The cold I picked up is finally starting to shift as well, so everything is right with the world again!

books haul

Not too many books again this week but I’m really happy with the ones I got. I’m really looking forward to getting stuck in this coming week.

books bought:

books bought

The Storm Crow by Kalyn Josephson | The Splintered Silence by Kayla Olson | Fire & Heist by Sarah Beth Durst

These all look really interesting (Space! Dragons!) I’m not sure which one I’m going to start first – they all look so good…

books bought

Some Unknown Person by Sandra Scoppettone | Islands in the Sky by Arthur C. Clarke | The Secret Diaries: Betrayal by Janice Harrell | Breaking the Ice by Barbara J. Mumma | Winner’s Waltz by Barbara J. Mumma

Just a handful of vintage titles this week. I’m loving this edition of Some Unknown Person – I’ve wanted to read this book for ages because Sandra Scoppettone is an old favourite of mine.

books bought

Unquiet by Melanie Hansen | A Calm Before the Storm by Kelley York & Rowan Altwood

I’m in the middle of reading Unquiet right now and it is really good but very hard-hitting for a lot of reasons. I can’t wait to read this short story from the Dark is the Night series – think it’s going to be next on my list since it is Christmas-themed!

books for review:

books bought

No Man of Woman Born by Ana Mardoll | Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa

These covers are both gorgeous (in very different ways). I’m particularly intrigued by No Man of Woman Born – looks really interesting.

books bought

Valhalla by L.A. Ashton | Heir of Ra by M. Sasinowski

I requested these on a whim but they both sound like books I will enjoy so I’m pretty excited! I do love trying new (to me anyway) authors.

Hope you all have a happy holiday season!
