Stacking the Shelves – a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews & Reading Reality
what’s the buzz: weekly round-up
It’s been a rough week for many reasons so I’m pretty glad to see the back of it. Went to see Bumblebee which was actually really charming and funny – not a huge fan of the other Transformers movies but was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the semi-prequel/reboot (can’t quite make my mind up which it was).
I am also eagerly awaiting the release of The wicked King – the book is finally out next week (whoop!) It’s been a long wait and I’m happy it’s almost over with (though it’s probably going to be just as painful waiting for the next book). I also managed to post every day so far in 2019 which is something of a minor miracle!
book haul
Not quite so many books this week (Christmas is past after all) but I’m very happy with the ones I did get.
Fire and Blood by George R.R. Martin
As much as I wish Martin would just finish ASOIAF already, I’m still really looking forward to reading this book!
A Shot at Love by Jill Jarnow | A Killer in the House by J.H. Carroll | Switched by R.L. Stine | Oh Brother! by Cheryl Zach | Stealing the Scene by Cheryl Zach | Tug of War by Cheryl Zach
A few Cheryl Zach books along with a couple of YA horror titles as well as a Sweet Dreams book – think I’ve got all my bases covered haha! 😉
Smoke & Summons by Charlie N. Holmberg | Balanced on the Blade’s Edge by Lindsay Buroker
Another couple of Kindle books which both look super-intriguing. I have been meaning to read Holmberg’s books for ages and this one looks really interesting.

Monsters by Sharon Dogar | The Wrythe and the Reckoning by Yvonthia Leland
Just a couple of ARC’s this week but they both look great. I’m very much looking forward to starting Monsters – it sounds so awesome.

I think Bumblebee looks pretty entertaining. I enjoy the movies but am not a huge Cena fan so I don’t know how well that will sit with me. Hope you enjoy your books.
