Stacking the Shelves – a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews & Reading Reality

what’s the buzz: weekly round-up and book haul

I am calling it – it’s Autumn (or Fall if you prefer)! It may still officially be Summer (at least until the 23rd of this month) but it feels more Autumn now. It’s colder again (I so much prefer the cooler weather!), the leaves are starting to golden and fall from the trees, and the Pumpkin Spice Latte is back at Starbucks (yass!)

Autumn is my favourite season. I tend to suffer in warmer weather – I’m not great in the heat and I’m too fair skinned to go about in shorts and vest tops (plus, I’m too top-heavy anyways). Every bigger-busted girls worst nightmare is hot weather haha!

This week has been a pretty quiet one, for the most part. Just enjoying my last week of freedom before heading back to work next week! I did get to see IT: Chapter 2 yesterday. I enjoyed it quite a bit (planning to go back tomorrow). I reviewed the first chapter on the blog and I intend to review the second one too but I wasn’t very well yesterday which meant I missed bits of the film. That’s why I’m going back tomorrow (mostly). 😉

I did enjoy what I got to see though. Richie was my favourite (no surprise there – he is my fave in the books too). But let’s just say I really liked the direction the story took him in the film… and Bill Hader was awesome! As was James Ransone as older Eddie… they all were fantastic actually. It was also great seeing the kid actors back too in flashback form. It wasn’t quite as good as the first one but that kinda matches the books too – the kids story segments were always more compelling.

bookish merchandise

I can never resist bookish merchandise! 😉 I got this stunning print from Noverantale – I own quite a few pieces from this artist now and I love them all so much! I also got this awesome book sleeve from BookBestiesUK – the fabric is so shimmery and the photo just doesn’t do it justice at all. Lastly, I got some bookish pins from Iron and Ink Designs and Illumicrate – aren’t they awesome?!

One response to “Stacking the Shelves #177

  1. I love all your additions and that book sleeve rocks. I grabbed The Vine Witch as well from Kindle First this week. So I almost choked on my water but “Every bigger-busted girls worst nightmare is hot weather haha!” – truer words have never been spoken! What a cool edition of Crooked Kingdom. Great addition to your collection. Hope you have a great week!
