Stacking The Shelves – a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews

Stacking the Shelves

Here are the rules:

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

  • Participants are to create their own Stacking the Shelves post and link bank to Tynga’s Reviews so more people can join the fun!
  • Posts can be laid out any way you want.
  • The host site posts updates on a Saturday but bloggers taking part can post any day they choose.
  • Visit Tynga’s Reviews on a Saturday and add your link.
  • Visit other participants sites to find out what they have added!

The rules are simple and it is a really fun way to showcase your books and see what other bloggers are excited about this week! Not to mention the fact that it is a good way to interact with and get to know other bloggers!

Here are the books I have purchased this week:

bought 1

Swan Song by Robert R. McCammon

This is one of my all-time favourite books so when I saw it on the Kindle Daily Deal I just had to grab an ebook copy!

Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares by David Levithan an Rachel Cohn

I enjoyed Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist so this book has definitely been on my radar for some time. It is up for sale on Amazon for £0.89 – a real bargain so I just couldn’t pass it up!

Rush by Eve Silver

This looked interesting so I decided to pick it up! I always like to discover new (to me anyway!) authors.

bought 2

Winter Girls by Laurie Halse Anderson

This is also up for sale on Amazon for £1.48 – couldn’t resist! It’s just such a steal – would be rude not to! 😉

Sinner by Maggie Stiefvater

I haven’t got to the point in this series where I could read this yet (still books 2 and 3 to read first) but I just had to buy it!

Trial by Fire by Josephine Angelini

This isn’t supposed to be out until September 2nd but I took a trip to my local supermarket and lo and behold – there it was!

bought 3

The Dogs of Balboa by Rose Christo

I really lover her writing so I couldn’t resist when I saw she had a new(ish) book out! A must-read, for sure.

Lending Light by Rose Christo

I discovered that there was a new book in the Gives Light series – told from Rafael’ POV!! I had to snap it up immediately!

This Sky by Autumn Doughton

I was immediately intrigued by the gorgeous cover. It’s just so stunning I could look at it all day…

Here are the ARC’s I got from Netgalley/Edelweiss:

Red Rising by Pierce Brown

This was up for the bank holiday weekend only – I jumped at the chance to read it! I’ve heard many great things.

Unspeakable by Abbie Rushton

This looks really good – and the cover is stunning! I admit, I’m always a sucker for a pretty cover…

The Unhappening of Genesis Lee

This definitely looks like something I would enjoy. Can’t wait to give it a whirl!

  1. There are so many beautiful covers on these books. I can’t wait to read Sinner, I love that series. I’m really looking forward to Trail By Fire as well. Both unspeakable and The Unhappening of Genesis Lee look very intriguing.
    Happy reading 🙂
