Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and The Bookish. This week’s theme is:
Ten Books I Repeatedly Revisit
Today’s topic is a freebie and I really struggled trying to come up with a theme but then it dawned on me – I should do a post about the books/series I like to re-read so that’s just what I have done!
I tend to re-read books quite a bit anyway but there are some books I go back to more frequently than others. Usually my favourites are the ones who make me feel good or the ones where I connect on a deeper level with the characters. Here are the ones I have re-read the most in recent years:
1. Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz
This is definitely one of my more recent favourites and I have read it about four or five times since I first picked it up two years ago. Such an amazing book – it makes me feel hopeful and never fails to move me.
2. Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead
This series is what really got me back into reading YA in a big way. Every time I pick it up I get swept up in the story. Plus, any series with a character such as Adrian Ivashkov is good by me. 😉
3. Wanderlove by Kirsten Hubbard
One of my favourite standalones. This book really made me want to travel through Central America. Who knows, maybe one day I will – anything is possible. 😉
4. The Farseer Trilogy by Robin Hobb
My all-time favourite series. I love these books and their characters so much. Everytime I re-read it is like meeting up with old friends.
5. The Tamir Triad by Lynn Flewelling
These books are amazing – brimming with memorable characters and at times even a little bit scary. The main character has somewhat ambiguous gender as well which just adds to the already amazing plot. Great stuff!
6. The Doctrine of Labyrinths series by Sarah Monette
It actually hurts me that this series is not more well-known because it is an absolute blinder. I have read it about seven or eight times over the last couple of years and I find new things to marvel at each time.
7. Kushiel’s Universe series by Jacqueline Carey
This is dark fantasy at it’s best. I think the writing is absolutely exquisite and the story is wonderful. One of my favourites.
8. Warchild series by Karin Lowachee
I actually have no words for how amazing this series is. It is one of the best science fiction series I have ever read and it is a personal favourite. It is not an easy read but very worthwhile.
9. The Darkest Powers series by Kelley Armstrong
I love reading about these characters, especially Chloe and Derek. Just an amazing YA series all-round – perfect for a re-read!
10. Demon Child series by Jennifer Fallon
This is such an awesome fantasy series. It isn’t afraid to get dark but there is plenty humour as well. I really love it and have re-read it many, many times. 🙂

Great list! This is the first time I’ve seen anyone mention Sarah Monette’s books! I read the first two in that series before I started blogging and recently made the decision to reread them so I could finish the series in the next few years (if I can get my hands on them again anyway). I remember enjoying them quite a bit.
The only one from your list that I have read is the Darkest Powers series! I am the same way with it, I have read it so many times I have lost count! It’s just such a good series to binge re-read 🙂
My TTT.
I haven’t read any of the books on your list this week! I’m off to check them out!!
My list was on rereading also, but was reasons why I love it. My TTT
