Top Ten Tuesday is an awesome meme hosted by the lovely folks @ The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is top ten:
Retro YA Books I’ve Recently Added To My TBR List
I’m going to do something a bit different here. Instead of new releases, I’m going to list retro YA books. I love collecting vintage YA books so here are some that I have recently added to my shelves:
1. The Ghost Next Door by Wylly Folk St. John
I have wanted to read this book for ages so when I saw a copy on Thrift books I just had to purchase it.
2. Summer of Fear by Lois Duncan
I already own a copy of this book but I like collecting different editions. Like, I really, really, really love different editions!
3. The Experiment (Nightmare Hall series) by Diane Hoh
I bought a lot of Nightmare Hall books on eBay – looking forward to diving back into this series!
4. Run for Your Life (Hart and Soul series) by Jahnna N. Malcolm
I finally managed to track down a copy that wasn’t too expensive. Still waiting on it coming from the US – keep your fingers crossed for me that it arrives safely! (and now I’ve jinxed myself!) 😜
5. House of Stairs by William Sleator
This book has long been on my to-buy list. I really love the sound of it and the cover is well trippy – I love it!
6. Soulmate (Night World series) by L.J. Smith
Again, I already own this series but I am collecting the original UK editions. Only have one more to go and I’ve got them all!
7. That Cheating Sister (The Stepsisters series) by Tina Oaks
Another series I have been trying to buy in its entirety – that’s me now collected the set. 😂
8. Summer Nights (Saturday Night series) by Caroline B. Cooney
I own the first three books in the series so thought I should get this one before it becomes too rare.
9. Just Friends by Norma Klein
I vaguely remember this book from my childhood and I have been meaning to check it out again (along with Klein’s other teen novels).
10. Twin Sisters by Janice Harrell
I thought this book looked really interesting so I picked up a copy of Twin Sisters (and the sequel natch).

I used to love Lois Duncan’s books back in the day! So fun to see one of her books on your list!
My TTT.
I love your approach to this week’s topic! I don’t remember any of these, except Lois Duncan is ringing some bells – down the rabbit hole of the internet I go in search of why! Haha
I think I’m going to have to add House of Stairs! 🙂
