I have just been nominated for The Jolly Blogger Award by the lovely Galit @ Coffee n’ Notes. Thank you so much for the nomination!

I hadn’t heard of this award before but I am definitely thrilled to have been nominated for it! I have been a bit of a Bah Humbug the last couple of days but this award has cheered me up immensely.

So let’s get started!

Here are the questions:

1. What is on your Christmas Wish list?

This is a bit of a cheat because I already know what I am getting, but topping my wish list this year was a new iPod Touch (I have an iPhone but I prefer to keep my music separate) and a set of Beats by Dre Solo Over-Ear Headphones!

2. What would be the perfect Christmas?

A quiet day with my immediate family. Lots of food then parking myself in front of the telly!

3. What’s your favourite winter make-up look?

I prefer to keep it simple and naturalistic – honestly I barely wear make-up anymore. I do love my lipgloss though.

4. Do you believe in Santa?

Nope! Been a long time since I did lol.

5. What is your favourite Christmas food or drink?

I love Christmas cake. And Christmas pudding. Maybe just sweets in general!

6. Will you be travelling for Christmas, if so where?

Only a few miles to my partner’s mum and dad’s house. They will be feeding us this year!

7. Would you prefer Christmas with or without snow?

Without! After a really bad winter a few years back where we had to dig our way out of the door every morning, I cannot abide the snow. It lay for months as well. Not a fan.

8. Do you like eggnog?

Yes! In fact, I had it just the other week (it was part of a cocktail that included Advocaat, Limoncello, and lime juice – which was then topped with meringue and torched golden brown – yum!!)

9. What is your favourite winter clothing?

I am going to sound like a right granny here but I am partial to cardigans! Also slippers!

10. Do you leave Santa cookies, if so who eats them?

Nope – if I did I would be tempted to munch them!!

11. What was the best gift you ever received?

Last Christmas, my mum gave me two framed paintings which are now hanging in my living room. It was the last gift she ever gave me so will always be a special one.

12. What is your favourite Christmas memory?

I remember a Christmas as a child (think I would have been about seven or eight). My brother was still living at home and my parents were still together. My auntie was also over celebrating with us. I remember I was really into Jem dolls and my mum had bought me the Jem doll car – I was over the moon about this car and played all day with it.

My auntie was helping out in the kitchen and she put on an apron so as not to mess up her clothes. What she didn’t realise was that it was a ‘dirty’ apron (I will leave it to your imagination about what it actually had on it!) and she was bustling about none the wiser. We didn’t have the heart to tell her but she got the shock of her life when she took it off! I can still hear remember her laughing uproariously about it to this day! 😀
