Today’s Topic is: Books I Read in One Sitting
(or close to)
Hmm, I actually tend to do this rather a lot as I am a pretty quick reader anyway and most of the time I get so caught up in a book you would need to pry it from my cold, dead hands! However, there are some books that I have totally rattled through, usually when I shouldn’t i.e. staying up much too late (or too early depending on your definition) usually when I need to get up early for work the following day.
A Court of Thorns and Roses was just so darned good I had trouble putting it down – so I just didn’t! Seriously though it was such a powerhouse of a novel there was no way I was putting it down before finding out what happened.
Uprooted was utterly brilliant and completely unputdownable. It was tense, it was gripping, it was really scary and it is definitely a contender for my favourite book of the year (thus far anyway).
Blue Lily, Lily Blue was one of my most highly anticipated reads last year and it didn’t disappoint. At this rate, Maggie Stiefvater should just take my money now – I will buy everything she writes, no questions asked. Needless to say, this book kept me up way, way past my bedtime.
Gathering Darkness – guys this book was just so fantastic – I can remember sitting guiltily reading this knowing I had to get up early and just not caring one jot because the book was just so magnificently awesome. I cannot wait for the next one.
Faking Normal is a book I didn’t have high expectations for. I picked it up meaning to read just a few chapters and then a couple of hours later I was looking at the clock going ‘is it that time already?’. The lateness of the hour did not stop me from finishing this book though. 😉

Uprooted is on my TBR. For the premise and the reviews I’ve read, I think I’ll really enjoy it 😀
But I don’t read much fast, so I doubt that I can read it in one day.
Uprooted is awesome. I am normally a quick reader but I tore through it quicker than usual because I just had to find out what was happening. 😉
