Today’s Topic is: Top Authors I Discovered This Year
I love discovering new or new-to-me authors. it’s the best part of being a reader most of the time. I have discovered a few authors this year that I know are going to be firm favourites.
1. Sarah J. Maas
I know, I know, I am way late to the party! I still haven’t read the Throne of Glass series yet but I read and adored A Court of Thornes and Roses earlier this year. I am definitely a fan.
2. Renee Ahdieh
The Wrath and the Dawn was one of my favourite reads this year and I am way excited for the next book in the series.
3. Naomi Novik
Uprooted was phenomenal. I haven’t been reading much traditional fantasy but this book got me really excited for the genre again. It was just so awesome. I definitely want to check out her Temeraire series soon.
4. Heather Demetrios
I’ll Meet You There was such a powerful read. I am keen to check out the rest of this author’s books. Something Real has been on my radar for a while and I am looking forward to getting to it soon.
5. Marie Rutkoski
The Winner’s Curse was awesome so I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series and this author’s back catalogue too (The Shadow Society has been gathering dust on my bookshelf for too long).

I’m late to the Sarah J. Maas party too but I read ACOTAR and then the Throne of Glass series this year and loved both! I’m loving the Winner’s Curse series too and need to start Marie’s other books asap! Great list 🙂
