Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and The Bookish. This week’s theme is:

Top Ten 2016 Debuts Novels I am Looking Forward To

It feels like I haven’t done a Top Ten Tuesday post in ages *goes to check* yikes – it’s been about five weeks! How time flies! Before you know it will be 2016 already!

The good thing about time moving so darn quickly is all the 2016 releases I am looking forward to are that much closer so yay for that!

I always love checking out any debut releases, especially for young adult authors. I have read quite a few strong debuts this year (such as Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda and My Heart and Other Black Holes to name a couple) so I am excited to see what 2016 brings!

Here are some debuts I am especially excited to read:

debut 1

Blackhearts by Nicole Castroman: Pirates! Pirates, Pirates, Pirates… need I say more? So excited for this one – it looks amazing! 😉

The Girl from Everywhere by Heidi Heilig: The premise for this book looks really promising. I really like the idea of a time-travelling ship!

Revenge and the Wild by Michelle Modesto: Historical young adult fantasy with a steampunk twist? Sounds awesome – I’m in!

Burning Glass by Kathryn Purdie: This looks like a solid fantasy novel. The premise isn’t overly original but if done right I think it could mark the start of a great fantasy series. 🙂

Jerk Bait by Mia Siegert: I think this one looks really promising! I love to read young adult books with LGBTQ themes and this one looks pretty different from what I have read before.

debut 2

After the Woods by Kim Savage: I really enjoy psychological thrillers though I definitely don’t read enough of them. This looks pretty decent. 🙂

The Mystery of Hollow Places by Rebecca Podos: I’ll admit, it was the cover that drew me to this book (I’m a cover junkie!) but this actually looks like a really intriguing mystery novel. Very excited for this!

Into the Dim by Janet B. Taylor: This book has time travel and is set in my own wee country of Scotland! Scotland and time travel = a happy Brin! 😉

These Vicious Masks by Tarun Shanker and Kelly Zekas: Jane Austen meets X-Men? SOLD!!!

Shallow Graves by Kali Wallace: This one looks so, so good guys! I think this might just be the debut I am most looking forward to.
