Top Ten Books I’m Not Sure I Want To Read
Books you may have bought but aren’t sure if you are into it anymore, books you wanted to read but heard mixed things about, hyped books you aren’t sure about — basically any book that has you going, “TO READ OR NOT TO READ?”
I have decided to focus on books I have bought but I am not sure if I will read or not. I have rather a lot of these so it was difficult trying to narrow it down!
1. Marked by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast
I bought the first two books in this series on a whim but I have heard so many negative things about this series I regret that particular purchase decision.
2. Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr
This series sounded really intriguing to me but I found it difficult trying to get into the first book and only made it 20 pages or so. I think I will try it again at some point though.
3. Evernight by Claudia Gray
I have heard this series gets really good but I only got through half of the first book before I abandoned reading it. Will definitely give it another try though when I get the time.
4. Finding Sky by Joss Stirling
I was intrigued by the cover which encouraged me to buy this book but I am not sure if I will like it or not.
5. Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini
I am not really sure what possessed me to purchase this one. I just don’t really fancy reading it but cannot really articulate why.
6. City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
This is a series I have to read just so I can say that I have. I am still not sure if it will be my cup of tea but I could be pleasantly surprised!
7. The Hollow by Jessica Verday
I started reading this one but it sort of lost me with all the insta-love. I am not sure if I will pick it up again.
8. Prophecy of the Sisters by Michelle Zink
I bought all three books in the series on impulse but only managed to get through a couple of chapters of the first book. Does not bode well for the series as a whole.
9. Illuminate by Aimee Agresti
I lusted after the cover of this book and shelled out rather a lot of money for the hardback copy. I did start to read it but the book felt a little too…girly for my liking.
10. Wither by Lauren DeStefano
I was really looking forward to this one but have heard lots of other readers describe it as very generic dystopian fare which disappointed me a lot. I will still give it a chance at some point though.
Well, those are my choices for books I am not sure I (still) want to read. I always try to keep in mind though that sometimes it can be I am just not in the mood for a particular book so I like to keep an open mind and give it another shot but sometimes it is hard to get past the initial reluctance or disinterest!
