Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and The Bookish. This week’s theme is:

Top Ten Books On My TBR For Summer 2015

This seems pretty similar to My Top Ten Beach Reads, a topic that we covered not too long ago, so I am not going to include the books on that list. Instead, I am going to list some of the books I have sitting on my shelves (for varying lengths of time) that I really want to get to this summer.

I have been wanting to read Every Breath for ages – I really don’t know why I haven’t read it yet considering I love Sherlock Holmes and retellings. Soon… very soon.

Keturah and Lord Death looks incredible and after finishing The Wrath and the Dawn, which has a somewhat similar premise, I am even more eager to read this.

The Storyspinner is a debut I was really looking forward to and I really must read it soon. It looks too good to be left languishing on a shelf (and I know I said I wasn’t going to duplicate any on the previous list but oh well!!).

A Darker Shade of Magic has so many positive reviews I am almost afraid to read it just in case I don’t enjoy it as much as I want to. It definitely needs to be read soon.

Akarnae is a bit of a sleeper for me. It began to quietly pop up on several blogs here and there and eventually I just had to take notice. It looks really awesome.

The Orphan Queen is one I am pretty excited to read despite the fact that I haven’t managed to get round to it yet. I really need to get to this soon.

The Young Elites looks utterly amazing. I can already tell it will be something I enjoy since I love somewhat darker stories with not so nice protagonists.

Something about Mosquitoland just grabs me. I just really want to read this and all of the reviews I have seen have just made me more anxious to pick it up (if I only didn’t have dozens of books requiring my attention). Soon my pretties.

I’ll Give You the Sun has sat taunting me for ages. I bought it when it was first released and I swear that it is doing everything it can to get me to skip ahead and read it.

Ask the Passengers just looks so good. I have been meaning to read it for ages and I think this summer will be when I finally take the plunge.

A couple of these have been on my TBR for a while! I chose to do something a little different this week, as I did my Summer TBR on the week that everyone did beach reads, so I listed my favourite fictional villains instead (random I know, but it’s what I felt like doing!)

  2. I read The Orphan Queen a couple of weeks ago and I really enjoyed it, far more than I expected. Hope you enjoy it too! Happy reading. x

I haven’t read any of Jodi Meadows books as yet but I really fancied The Orphan Queen so I skipped right to it! It does look awesome. Glad to hear you enjoyed it. 🙂
