Top Ten Tuesday is an awesome meme hosted by the lovely folks @ The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is:
New-To-Me Authors I Read For The First Time In 2016!
Okay, I have a confession to make – I haven’t read any new authors this year (and I honestly feel terrible about it). This is probably the worst year I’ve had for reading since… well, since I learned to read probably. It’s not that I haven’t gotten excited about new authors or that I haven’t purchased anything new – I just haven’t read any of these new (to me) authors and/or books.
I thought I would try and put a spin on this topic by listing 5 rediscovered authors I read this year (re-reads have basically been a lifeline for me in 2016) and 5 authors I am looking forward to hopefully getting around to reading in the new year.
Rediscovered Authors
1. Sandra Scoppettone
2. Christopher Pike
3. Carol Ellis
4. Neil Gaiman
5. Caroline B. Cooney

New (to me) Authors
1. Lara Avery
2. Jeff Zentner
3. Tara Sim
4. Zoraida Cordova
5. Meredith Russo

Tara Sim was on my list this week too! Timekeeper was so good!
I really like that cover of If I Was Your Girl! Great picks! I wish I could read Neil Gaiman as if I had never read him before. 🙂

eeek, I used to love Carol Ellis and Caroline Cooney’s point horror books. I’d love to re-read them and see if they’re as fun as I remember. I really enjoyed Labyrinth Lost this year too. Can’t wait to see what happens next.
Great List, Happy Reading

I haven’t read any of your picks for the future, but I really want to read Neil Gaiman in 2017! Happy to hear that you enjoy his books enough to re read them!
