June Bookstagram Challenges (and what I got up to today)
#bookishthisorthat – hosted by:
@darkfaerietales_, @cbookaddiction, @novelheartbeat and @eden.hammond
With each daily prompt, you choose which of the two choices you prefer. So, let’s say the choice was between Game of Thrones and the Lord of the Rings, you choose which one is your favourite and create a photo using your choice (and FYI, as much as I love GoT, it would be LotR all the way!!)
#bookishsummertrinkets – hosted by:
@imsophiebadillo and @e.c.victoria
This one’s pretty self-explanatory – you basically post a photo containing the prompt for that day which features the various trinkets/ props that bookstagrammers use to supplement their photos. This one sounded really different and fun so I couldn’t resist taking part (even though originally I was only going to do one challenge).
Day 13 of #bookishthisorthat: HEA / Sacrifice
Erm, I kinda like both, really depends on my mood. I do tend to gravitate towards lots of lovely angst though so maybe that answers the question!
With #theravencycle, I was fully prepared to have to deal with Gansey’s sacrifice (sob) but I would have turned into a rage monster if #pynch did not get their happily ever after (and I am a huge Gansey fan, just to be clear). I was satisfied with the ending though (although I am beyond excited to hear about a potential Ronan spin-off – my little grumpy baby will finally get the chance to shine!) 🖤
Art cards by the extremely talented @aki_mao and xla-hainex on Tumblr (I got them from Redbubble).
Day 13 of #bookishsummertrinkets: Music 🎶
Nothing beats the sound of vinyl! I haven’t yet received the book that inspired this prompt (Our Dark Duet) as I am waiting for a signed copy but I do have the first book This Savage Song. Also pictured is The Piper’s Son – I was over the moon to hear that we will finally get that Jimmy Hailler story we fans have been clamouring for!! 😍😍😍
What Else I got up to Today
Not very much. Been glued to Hollyoaks this week which is quite surprising but the storylines have actually been rather gripping. The Scott storyline at the moment is particularly sad but compelling.
