Look at the shiny…favourite LGBT covers

I must admit, I am a sucker for a pretty book cover. Don’t get me wrong – this has not always worked in my favour (Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick I’m looking at you – great cover, the book – not really my thing!) but a memorable book cover really stands out for me. Sometimes it is a simple cover that catches my fancy, other times it is because the cover really makes a statement.

Here are some of my favourite LGBT covers:

  1. Beautiful covers indeed! Glad you included Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe. I smiled internally when I saw you mention Hush, Hush, because I feel like that (as in the disillusionment after witnessing the great cover) happened to many others as well. (:

    • Hush, Hush was a huge disappointment – I so wanted to love it based on the cover alone but alas, not meant to be. 😉

Aristotle and Dante is probably my favourite cover – I think it’s just so pretty! <3

  2. Hush, Hush – lol. And I kinda fell into the same trap with Coda. (Well, Coda was a good book, just too dark for me…)

And I pretty much love all the covers you picked. Ari&Dante, Freakboy, How to…, Beautiful Music.. (I want that book just for the cover), Falling from the Sky, Teeth, Adaptation and Two Boys Kissing especially 🙂

    • It’s rubbish when that happens!

They are some pretty covers! I really like the Two Boys Kissing cover – can you imagine it coming out with that cover ten years ago? I love the fact that the book will get so much attention because it’s David Levithan – and the cover will be prominantly displayed in bookstores! Just wish the UK cover was as good…
