My Blog Turns 4 Today

Posted August 4, 2017 by Brin in Updates / 14 Comments

Well, I was reminded today by the WordPress fairies that it is my blog’s anniversary. Brin’s Book Blog officially turns 4 today! I honestly cannot believe that I have been blogging for 4 years. Not that I am the most consistent blogger (I have had a few blogging breaks) but still, I think it is definitely something to celebrate.

I’m going to keep this short, but I had to post something to mark my blog’s 4th birthday. 😉 Blogging has kept me sane throughout a lot of crazy life shenanigans and I am grateful for this space to vent my thoughts and for the community that gives so much back.

I am going to leave you all with a quote that I find remarkably apt:

“I spent my life folded between the pages of books. In the absence of human relationships I formed bonds with paper characters. I lived love and loss through stories threaded in history; I experienced adolescence by association. My world is one interwoven web of words, stringing limb to limb, bone to sinew, thoughts and images all together. I am a being comprised of letters, a character created by sentences, a figment of imagination formed through fiction.”

Yep, I DO relate. And my blog will be 5 in October. Like you, I’ve never been very consistent, but I wouldn’t ever think of stopping!

That’s amazing that you have been blogging for 5 years. Glad to hear you have no intentions of stopping – I would really miss you if you did! 🙂
