Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and The Bookish. This week’s theme is:

Top Ten Books On My Spring 2014 TBR List

Wow, books on my Spring 2014 TBR – where to start? I have so many books I want to get round to ASAP but here are the 10 I am going to try and read first. This is, of course, subject to change – after all spontaneity about what to read next is all part of the fun!

spring 2014

1. Cross Stitch by Diana Gabaldon (Outlander in the US)

I have been wanting to read this series for awhile (plus my mum has been urging me to read it) and I have the first book sitting on my Kindle.

2. The Fault In Our Stars by John Green

I have been trying to get round to reading this since January. I must get it read in the next couple of months! I’ve heard so many things both good and bad that it is really intriguing me. A must read for Spring 2014!

3. The Book of Broken Hearts by Sarah Ockler

I got this book for my birthday last year and it has been sitting atop the pile of books I keep on my bedside cabinet. I need to get to it pronto!

4. Dangerous by Shannon Hale

A recent request from Netgalley, I really want to try and get this read and reviewed as quickly as possible. I really need to try and keep up with my ARCs.

5. The Secret Diamond Sisters by Michelle Madow

Another Netgalley request, this looks like an easy read. I think the cover is pretty nifty too – definitely one I want to read sooner than later.

6. And We Stay by Jenny Hubbard

Not my usual sort of read but the blurb looked interesting so I decided to request this from Netgalley. It definitely sounds good.

7. Splintered by A. G. Howard

An Alice in Wonderland retelling? I’m sold. I have really been looking forward to reading this series so it will be near the top of my Spring TBR list!

8. Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi

Another series I have been trying to get round to, I am going to make reading it a priority for Spring. I have heard so many great things – it should be a blast!

spring 2014

9. Divergent by Veronica Roth

I really want to try and read the series before the film comes out. It has been sitting on my TBR list forever! I am really bad at getting round to the books on my shelves.

10. Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor

I did intend to make this my first read of 2014 but then I decided to hold off until the third (and final) book Dreams of Gods & Monsters was released. Luckily, it will be out next month which means I can finally read the other two books in the series – yay!!

  1. I think I am going to try and marathon-read the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy as well! You have some great books on your list and some that I am looking forward to reading too.

    • Daughter of Smoke and Bone has been on my TBR list for far too long – I really have to read it soon. 😉

Some great books on your list too – I spotted Anna and the French Kiss – love that series!!

  2. I enjoyed Cross Stitch but it was a few years ago since I read it so whether I’d still feel the same is not for certain. I’ve also read Divergent and Daughter of Smoke and Bone and whilst I liked both books I for some reason haven’t continued with the series. Completing some of my unfinished series will be my mission this year I think!
I had no idea that Splintered was an Alice retelling. I actually have that book so I’m definitely going to move that up the list now.
    Thanks
    Lynn 😀

    • I’m hoping I will enjoy it but the size is a bit daunting – I don’t seem to have a lot of concentration these days…

I am bad for that too – I have so many series I have only half-read. 😉

splintered looks really good – the fact that it is an Alice retelling only made me want to read it even more!
