what’s the buzz: weekly round-up and book haul
Another week of pretty much nothing happening. Work has been kinda taking over my life the last week or so, which means I haven’t had a lot of downtime. You’re always going to get times like this though so I just try to roll with it. 🙂
As for my posting schedule, well it went a bit to pot this week haha! I only managed a single post which is disappointing because I really wanted to get a couple of reviews up this week. Nevermind though, there’s always next week!
I did manage to squeeze in some time for blog maintenance – I’ve been trying to tidy up some of my older posts (from my wordpress.com days). Some of these did not transfer over all that well and some of the images/links are broken so I have been wanting to do some clean up on these older posts to bring them up to scratch. 😉
on the blog:
weekly bookish purchases
I was actually good (for me anyway!) this week. Not too many books purchased for a change! That’s not to say I didn’t still get a decent amount… it’s still me haha!
The Darkest Bloom by P.M. Freestone
I don’t know too much about The Darkest Bloom but the synopsis sounds really interesting (and how stunning is the cover?) Definitely a book I can’t wait to get started on.
The Late Great Me by Sandra Scoppettone | Hi There, Supermouse! by Jean Ure | A Proper Little Nooryeff by Jean Ure | Nicola Mimosa by Jean Ure | See You Thursday by Jean Ure | If It Weren’t For Sebastian… by Jean Ure
A bundle of Jean Ure books from eBay and The Late Great Me by Sandra Scoppettone – I’ve been wanting this edition for ages so when I saw it on Thrift Books… well, you know the drill!
Dream by Natalia Jaster | Love and Other Word by Christina Lauren
I had to snap up Dream for Kindle when it came out a couple of days ago (I was lucky to be granted an ARC by the author but I also need to have the finished copy too). I’ve got the paperback version ordered too…
Holding up the Universe by Jennifer Niven | The Hunting Party by Lucy Foley
I got both of these for £0.99 on Kindle (what a bargain – I can never, ever resist!) I am super-intrigued by The Hunting Party… should be good!
received for review
Frost by Isabelle Adler | Badlands by Morgan Brice
These both look like interesting reads – I’m in the mood for fantasy/urban fantasy at the moment so these should do the trick!

Isn’t it amazing how much time blog upkeep can take? lol it seems like it never ends!
Frost looks really good, I hope it turns out to be a good one!
I really liked HOLDING UP THE UNIVERSE! 🙂
Have a great week!
Looks like some amazing books. Every week my posts go to poop so to speak. Have a wonderful week and happy reading!
