what’s the buzz: weekly round-up and book haul
It’s really hard to describe weekly events at the moment as due to lockdown I haven’t been going out much (or at all) except occasionally to pick up necessary prescriptions and shopping (though even that we have been ordering online 99% of the time). It’s a strange time to be living in…
I have been trying to keep myself occupied in my spare time by reading, gaming, watching television and whatnot. I have been re-watching Prison Break again with my other half. I had forgotten how entertaining that show was (even though it was pretty implausible haha!) Plenty of eye-candy too (especially Wentworth Miller with his oh-so-blue eyes!) 😉
I also got a fair bit of bookish merch delivered this week!
- Mo Dao Zu Shi acrylic stand (purchased from eBay and Wang Yibo acrylic stand (also from eBay): I waited ages for the Wang Yibo stand (it was a preorder) but it’s finally here – yay!!
- Pin haul – Alina and Azriel pins from Jo Painter, Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan pin from eBay, Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji pins from Illogical Pins and Garrus and Fenris pins from Sartizan: I love my pins so much! Seriously, I have a serious case of pin addiction at the moment, especially MDZS/CQL themed pins!
- Disney-themed book sleeves from Book Besties UK: the fabric for these is so stunning! The photo really doesn’t do them justice…
- Postcards from Redbubble (all MDZS/CQL-themed!): Yep, more postcards – I do love a postcard haul from Redbubble!

- Buttons (CQL-themed, naturally!) from eBay: I have so many of these buttons I could make a garment out of them haha!
- The remainder of my postcard haul from Redbubble: So many awesome artists to satisfy my CQL addiction! I have another bunch I’ll be purchasing shortly…
- Neverending Story book sleeve from Book Besties UK: This was one of my favourite films as a kid so I couldn’t pass this up when it went up for preorder!
- Labyrinth book sleeve from Book Besties UK: Another firm favourite, I don’t know how many times I watched this film as a youngster so this was an auto-buy for me! The fabric is so pretty!!
