Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and The Bookish. This week’s theme is:
Books People Have Been Telling You That You MUST Read
Whether because they think it’s a “you” book or it’s just been generally recommended so often, we all have books that people just keep telling us to read.
1. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
I have wanted to read this book for ages, so many people have recommended it to me! I did a bad thing though and watched the movie first. 🙁
2. The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness
How amazing does this look? This has been highly recommended to me and I really do have to read it soon!
3. The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey
This was majorly hyped when it was released – I succumbed and bought the book but still haven’t read it yet.
4. Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
I have heard so many good things – I really want to read this! It looks like a “me” book for sure!
5. Blood Red Road by Moira Young
I have been recommended this book by many other readers – I do need to check it out. It’s just hard finding the time sometimes…
6. Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi
I love dystopians so I have been urged to read this one A LOT! Honestly, I’m kinda surprised I haven’t caved to peer pressure as yet. 😉
7. Divergent by Veronica Roth
Pretty much the same as above! I know a lot of people have been disappointed by this series but I still get a lot of recommendations.
8. Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers
This book was recommended to me a lot a few years ago so I bought it on impulse one day. It is still sitting on my shelf years later. It must be read soon!
9. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
Don’t think I really need to elaborate here! 😀 I am really not sitting at the popular table here by not having read a single John Green book. I suppose I will cave in at some point…
10. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
This has been recommended to me a bunch of times – I really do need to read it post-haste. So many people rave about this series, they have to be on to something there, right? 😉

Oh yes, The 5th Wave! You should definitely read that one 🙂
I really do – it looks like something I would <3 😉
For a good second, I thought you had 25 books (I’m so perceptive!)
You’re lucky that at the time you buy Knife of Never Letting Go…you get the new reissued covers! I got jilted by like a two week difference in the old-to-new covers. Le sigh–but still a worthy read!
Cheers,
joey via. thoughts and afterthoughts
The new covers are really pretty…but either way it looks like an amazing series. 🙂
I have Grave Mercy sitting on my shelf too! I got it for a great deal so I snagged it a couple of months ago, but I still haven’t gotten around to moving it up on my TBR list!
That isn’t too bad – I have had the book for about 2 years and still haven’t gotten to it yet lol! 😉
