Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and The Bookish. This week’s theme is:
Top Ten Characters I’d Love To Check In With
Just ten characters? Well, this is going to be difficult because I get rather attached to my book characters y’all! I will do my level best to keep it to ten though.
from Aristotle & Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz
I adored this book but the story cut off just as we were finally getting to the good part! I really would like a peek into their lives to see where they are now. I know they would still be together but I want moar of these two being ridiculously adorable!!
from The Graceling Realm series by Kristin Cashore
What’s really strange about this pick is that these two characters aren’t even my favourites (that would be Fire and Brigan) but I felt there was a lot more story potential for both of them. I also felt like Giddon was a much better match for Bitterblue than Saf (and the ending of the book did kind of hint that perhaps they may become a couple in the future). I just feel that their story wasn’t complete just yet.
from the Sevenwaters series by Juliet Marillier
I have an ungodly amount of love for nearly all of the characters in this series but Clodagh and Cathal were my favourite couple. I would love to check in with them and see how life is treating them (seems to be heading for heartbreak what with Cathal’s heritage).
from The Edge series by Ilona Andrews
Right from the very first book, these two brothers captured my heart. I would dearly love to see a series dedicated to them as they were never the focus of The Edge series despite being in every single book. Now that they are growing up there is so much potential for both of these boys and I would love to see more of them.
from The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins
Who wouldn’t like to see more of this star-crossed pair of characters? They had to really work for their (semi) happy ending but I would love to see how their lives progressed. I get the impression they stayed well out of the limelight and they deserve to be left in peace but I am still curious about the direction their lives would have taken.
from the Soul Screamers series by Rachel Vincent
I loved this series and Kaylee and Tod are one of my favourite YA couples. I would love to see how they are living their (after) life. I wouldn’t mind catching up on the rest of the gang too.
from The Doctrine of Labyrinths series by Sarah Monette
I was actually pretty happy about where these characters ended up but I still wouldn’t mind catching up with both of them. They were both such traumatized individuals – the fact that they ended up with even a modicum of peace is nothing short of miraculous. Still, I would like a peek into their lives to see what happened to the most unlikely pair of companions (and brothers) you will ever meet!
from the Lumatere Chronicles by Melina Marchetta
I have a great deal of fondness for just about every character in this series but no one pulled at my heartstrings more than Quintana and Froi. I would dearly love to catch up with them (and the rest of the characters).
from Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta
Melina Marchetta has a way of creating characters that stay with you for a very long time and Taylor Markham and Jonah Griggs are no exception. They have a truly beautiful connection, one that I would love to catch a glimpse of again.
from Suicide Watch by Kelley York
Another pair of fragile, broken, beautiful characters. I would love to see if they managed to lift each other up out of the depression they had both fallen into (I bet you anything they did).

It looks like a lot of people are keen to find out what happened to Katniss and Peeta! I hope they had a HEA after all they suffered. Nice list!
I thought Katniss and Peeta would feature on a lot of people’s lists. I think because the ending was left quite open for people to fill in the blanks – that often makes everyone want to know even more!
