Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that showcases the upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.

I was taking part in both Waiting on Wednesday and WWW Wednesdays but it was getting a little too much trying to do both on the same day. I have decided to keep doing both but now on alternate weeks. That way I can still keep doing both of them – the best of both worlds really!
My pick for this week:
Children can have a cruel, absolute sense of justice. Children can kill a monster and feel quite proud of themselves. A girl can look at her brother and believe they’re destined to be a knight and a bard who battle evil. She can believe she’s found the thing she’s been made for.
Hazel lives with her brother, Ben, in the strange town of Fairfold where humans and fae exist side by side. The faeries’ seemingly harmless magic attracts tourists, but Hazel knows how dangerous they can be, and she knows how to stop them. Or she did, once.
At the center of it all, there is a glass coffin in the woods. It rests right on the ground and in it sleeps a boy with horns on his head and ears as pointed as knives. Hazel and Ben were both in love with him as children. The boy has slept there for generations, never waking.
Until one day, he does…
As the world turns upside down, Hazel tries to remember her years pretending to be a knight. But swept up in new love, shifting loyalties, and the fresh sting of betrayal, will it be enough?

Why am I waiting?
Hello – did you read the synopsis? This sounds like a book I would absolutely adore – I cannot wait for it to be released.
What books are you waiting on this week?

I haven’t gotten to read Holly Black before. I have a review book that she co-wrote with Cassandra Clare. Looks like an interesting book though. Good pick!
WOW
Sandy @ Somewhere Only We Know
Thanks! I haven’t read any of her other stuff either though I do have a few I’ve bought but just not got round to yet. I love the sound of this one though! 🙂
Marie Lu is an author I really need to read too!!
I didn’t use to be a Holly Black fan, but then I read Coldest Girl in Coldtown which I ended up actually really liking (even though most people didn’t like it?). This is on my TBR too! I can’t wait to read it! Good pick.
I haven’t yet read any of her stuff though it does look like something I would enjoy. The Coldest Girl is currently sitting on my Kindle – will really need to read it soon! I am glad to hear you enjoyed it – I have heard rather mixed reviews up to now. 🙂
Yeah, there’s a WHOLE TON of mixed reviews. I was a bit obsessed with it at one time, but I don’t know if I’d have the same reaction if I read it again right now. I’m interested to hear what you think 🙂
I’m looking forward to trying it. Sometimes it really does depend on your mood whether or not you will like a book so fingers crossed! 🙂
I’m definitely intrigued by the blurb! Sounds pretty creepy, haha. I haven’t really found a Holly Black book that clicked with me yet, but this sounds pretty! Thanks for sharing!
Here’s my WOW (:
The synopsis sounds amazing – lets hope the book lives up to it!! 😉
Great pick – I’m really looking forward to The Fill-in Boyfriend as well. It looks awesome. 🙂
This sounds very fairy-tale-esque and I’m curious and intrigued. I will keep my eye on this one and find out more!
My WoW.
I love fairy tales and fairy tale retellings so this has definitely piqued my interest. 🙂
I love your pick – Snow Like Ashes is another book I am really excited for!
This one does sound so amazing, doesn’t it! I can’t wait to read it. Great pick.
Here’s my WoW
It really does! The Body Electric looks awesome too – I really enjoyed Beth Revis’ Across the Universe series so I’m hoping this will be just as good. 🙂
