Characters That Embody Your Hogwarts House

As Top 5 Wednesday is on hiatus for the summer, it is a great opportunity to go back and complete any previous missed prompts or maybe spin an old topic that has already completed. I missed this topic from March so now is the perfect time to catch up! I am a Ravenclaw – or so spake Pottermore (though, I’m probably more like a Ravenpuff haha!) – so I’m choosing to sort specific characters into Ravenclaw.

“Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw,
If you’ve a ready mind,
Where those of wit and learning,
Will always find their kind”

1. Poet – the Foolish Kingdoms series by Natalia Jaster

Poet is every inch a Ravenclaw and no amount of arguments will ever convince me otherwise! He speaks in rhyme for cripes sake! He is clever and erudite and so much wittier than just about anyone else in the room. He is a Ravenclaw through and through.

2. Kestrel – the Winner’s trilogy by Marie Rutkoski

There might be a little bit of Slytherin in there but I firmly believe Kestrel is a Ravenclaw. She is always ten steps ahead of everyone else. She’s not a fighter but is a great strategist.

3. Laurent – Captive Prince trilogy by c.S. Pacat

On the outside, Laurent appears very much a Slytherin but is so clever (and secretly squishy!) I forever claim him as a fellow Ravenpuff (ahem, Ravenclaw)!

4. Sydney – Bloodlines series by Richelle Mead

Sydney Sage (appropriate name is appropriate) is an egghead. She is very intellectual but also has emotional intelligence – this makes her a perfect Ravenclaw. She was the very first character that sprung to mind when I considered doing this topic.

5. The Fool – Realm of the Elderlings series by Robin Hobb

My dear, sweet Fool… there is no doubt in my mind that the Fool would be sorted in this house. Possessing a great wit and intelligence in spades; he is the quintessential Ravenclaw (the only detractor would be that, as he freely admits himself, he has never been wise). 😉
