Auto-Buy Authors
I have listed my auto-buy authors before in a previous Top Ten Tuesday post, but it was way back in 2015 so it will be interesting to see if there are any changes to my top ten list!
1. Natalia Jaster
I’ve not exactly been subtle about my love for Natalia Jaster’s writing (like, at all haha!) so I’m sure this one comes as no surprise to anyone! Honestly, finding her Foolish Kingdoms series was one of my best discoveries. I will happily read everything and anything she releases.
2. Ginn Hale
I haven’t read all of her various series (yet – I’m saving them for the perfect moment!) but everything that I have read I have absolutely adored. I love her Lord of the White Hell books and the spin-offs – I cannot get enough of this world. I am very much looking forward to reading The Rifter series too – I bought the paperbacks years ago but stupid me never read them at the time…
3. Holly Black
I was relatively late to the Holly Black train but I’ve more than made up for that oversight now! Her writing is exquisite and Faerie world is exactly what I was looking for after reading Sarah J. Maas’ A Court of Thorns and Roses (I enjoyed ACOTAR too – no slight on the Maas!)
4. V.E. Schwab
Why oh why did I wait so long to pick up a Schwab book? Honestly, one of the biggest mistakes of my blogging life because her books are incredible. I still have Vicious and Vengeful to read but I am pretty confident I will love them!
5. Rainbow Rowell
I think with Rainbow Rowell I have an author who I just instinctively ‘get’. Her books are varied but I have loved them all. I will be forever grateful for Rowell bringing Baz into existence though – Carry On is definitely my all-time favourite of her works.
6. Maggie Stiefvater
Maggie Stiefvater is a god to me. The Raven Cycle is one of my all-time favourite series and I am absolutely on tenterhooks for the new series set around my favourite boy Ronan Lynch. Somebody pynch me haha! 😉
7. Karin Lowachee
I love the Warchild series so much it’s actually really hard to put into words. I tend to flail about when I proclaim my love for this series! It deserves all the accolades and it kills me that it isn’t better-known.
8. Juliet Marillier
Juliet Marillier will never, ever not be on my auto-buy list! Her books are something very special indeed. Her Sevenwaters series is my favourite but all of her books are utterly enthralling and beautiful.
9. Sarah Monette
The Doctrine of Labyrinths series is very special to me – I spent a long time tracking down copies because it is unfortunately out-of-print. It was worth all my time and every penny spent. Such an amazing fantasy series with characters that are endearing and deeply flawed at the same time. Sheer perfection.
10. Robin Hobb
Ah, Robin Hobb, the creme-de-la-creme… my all-time favourite author. I don’t foresee this ever changing. Her Realm of the Elderlings series is one I grew up with and Fitz and the Fool are my ultimate OTP (even if they never actually… well, you know!) 😉

Holly Black has been on so many lists this week!
My TTT.
You’ve got some great authors on here!
Holly Black is a great choice! The Cruel Prince was the first book I read by her (somehow? Even though we own the Spiderwick Chronicles, but I haven’t read them yet?). I’m excited to read some of her back log, though, and have since picked up more of her books. :3 Same with VE Schwab, though I’m opposite you. I’ve read Vicious and Vengeful and need to read some of her others. xD I will say that I thought they were fantastic, and you’ll probably love them. 😉
Here’s my TTT post.
I think I read all of Rainbow Rowell books (if not all than almost all). I really like her books, but I much prefer her adult novels over YA.
Schwab and Stiefvater are both brilliant!
