Seven Deadly Sins of Reading

This tag has been around for a couple of years ago now but has being doing the rounds again recently so I thought it would be fun to try (I wasn’t specifically tagged by anyone but I am a rebel LOL)!

1. Greed. What is your most inexpensive book and most expensive book?

persuasionwatchmenmass

Inexpensive:

Persuasion by Jane Austen – I love picking up classic novels and you can get them really cheap!

Expensive:

Watchmen: Portraits by Clay Enos – I love a good movie tie-in and some of the photos in this book are beyond stunning

&

The Art of the Mass Effect Universe – I am a huge Bioware fan and this book was full of stunning concept art (really looking for to the Dragon Age one coming out in the next couple of months too).

2. Anger/Wrath. What author do you have a love/hate relationship with?

Stephen King – I have a lot of love for Stephen King and grew up reading his books. For every book of his that I have loved though, there is one I dislike in equal measure!

3. Gluttony. What book have you deliciously devoured over and over with no shame?

lotr

The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien – this book has been my favourite since I was a child. I have read it so many times I have lost count.

4. Sloth. What book have you neglected reading due to laziness?

name of the wind

The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss – this book has been sitting gathering dust on my shelf for far too long!

5. Pride. What book do you most talk about in order to sound like a very intellectual reader?

Heh – that would be telling! Ahem, I suppose talking about classic novels would fall into this category. I haven’t read as many as I would like to have read but…I may have on occasion spoken as if I had read the book (when in fact I had only seen an adaptation!). Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier springs to mind or The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

6. Lust. What attributes do you find most attractive in male or female characters?

Sense of humour is a must (self-deprecating is even better). I also love it when characters aren’t afraid to be vulnerable or put themselves out there. I love nerdy characters (being a bit of a nerd myself). I also appreciate intelligence.

7. Envy. What books would you most like to receive as gifts?

dark tower

I would love to own the entire Dark Tower series by Stephen King, preferably the hardback editions.

This was a lot of fun. I would urge anyone who hasn’t done this tag already to try it out!
