1 Year Blogoversary
Today is my 1 Year Blogoversary! I honestly didn’t think I would be able to keep this up for a month let alone a whole year. Truth is, I love blogging. I love interacting with others within the blogging community and I really enjoy sharing my thoughts on my favourite books and bookish-related topics and the discussion that it generates.
I have had a really sh*tty year (sorry for the bad language but it is the only word that really fits the situation) and blogging has been a bit of a lifesaver – it has really kept me going and allowed me to focus on something else rather than the honestly awful situation I was going through. I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has stopped by my blog. It has really meant a lot to me.
I wasn’t sure what I was going to do to mark the occasion. I really would have loved to have had a giveaway but I live in the UK and it is expensive to post overseas (and I wouldn’t have wanted to limit a giveaway to only UK bloggers since so many of the lovely people I have met live all over the world). My finances are not in the greatest shape at the moment either unfortunately. 🙁
One thing that having my own blog has really encouraged me to do is get my overstuffed bookshelves in order. I have just recently undertaken the frankly daunting task of getting my shelves sorted out properly. It is going to take a while but I have at least made a start!
Here are some pictures of some of my bookshelves, pre and post sorting!

Congratulations for your blogoversary!!! August 2nd was my two-year blogoversary, and it’s crazy to know that I’ve been blogging for two years. I can’t wait to see more of your posts, and again, happy blogoversary! 😀
Thanks and happy Blogoversary to you too!! 2 years is fantastic. <3
Congrats !!
Thanks! <3
Happy blog birthday! 🙂
Thank you!! 🙂
Congrats! Your blog is doing great! X
Thanks! <3
Happy blogoversary, Brin!! 🙂
Thanks Cayce!! 🙂
Congratulations – we never doubted you for a second 🙂 Nice work on the shelves, too – so organized!
Aww thanks!! My shelves are starting to shape up but I have a long way to go!! 😀
Happy one year Blogoversary!
Thank you! <3
Congratulations! It is a big achievement and you should be very proud. Sorry to hear your year hasn’t been that great, I hope the rest of the year improves for you.
Just for future reference, and I’m not implying in anyway you have to do this, but having a giveway in your country is fine, they are the only ones I’ve been able to do on my blog so far, but I am hoping to change that by the end of the year. And if you do want to do an international giveaway you can use Book Depository, they ship almost anywhere in the world for free.
Thanks! It hasn’t been the best year but trying to make the best of things.
I forgot about the Book Depository – thanks for the tip, it is definitely something I will consider in the future!! 🙂
Happy Blogoversary! Just pray about it, that’s what I do. I have had a shitty past 2 years and it hasn’t been easy. I love blogging, even when I really don’t have a clue as to what I’m doing besides voicing my opinions on what I read. Oh….wait…that is what blogging is about. It keeps my mind from going into dangerous territory and I also have my husband (not really married but what the hell) because he keeps me grounded as well. Glad you made it to one year, now let’s make it to two! Happy Blogoversary!
Thanks! Sorry to hear you haven’t had the best couple of years. You are totally right though – blogging really does stop your mind from dwelling on all the bad things that you cannot control. I too have my other half to keep me grounded (I really do not know how I would have made it through the last year without him). Hopefully things will pick up for both of us. <3
