Stacking The Shelves – a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews
Stacking the Shelves
I have decided to change the format of these posts a little bit, use them not only to share my weekly book hauls but to also give more of a round-up of weekly posts and life events.
In My Life:
It’s been quite a crazy week. Work was super-busy (but then, it always is) and I have been kept pretty busy at home too. Just back from watching The Other Side of the Door at the cinema. It was pretty decent though a bit predictable.
I have been watching quite a few television programmes. The Battlestar Galactica re-watch continues – passed the halfway point on season 2 and enjoying it just as much as when it was on the telly. Baltar cracks me up just as much as he used to.
I have also been pretty hooked on American Crime Story: The People v O.J. Simpson. What a crazy time that was. I can remember bits and pieces of news about the murders and the aftermath including the trial (and THAT verdict) but it is really interesting watching this show dramatise the events that occurred. How heart-breaking it must be for the families of Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman having to relive everything again. It is a brilliant piece of television though, and I am enjoying it more and more with each episode.
Twitter and Tumblr exploded this week after a certain thing happened on The 100. I haven’t watched the show right up-to-date (only halfway through season 1) but I really feel for fans of the show who have been dealt a major blow this week.

Ooh, I’m very curious about Stars Above! First have to read Fairest and Winter, though. Good luck with all the busy things in your life! Hope things settle down a little bit for you. 🙂
Lol, I’m the same. Haven’t finished Winter yet and for some reason I haven’t gotten around to Fairest at all (I meant to read it before Winter, but hey, that’s life).
Thanks – things have just been crazy lately – looking forward to some downtime. 🙂
The Dark Days Club looks like a fun one! Have a great week of reading!
Thanks Ardis! I’m really looking forward to getting stuck into The Dark Days Club. 🙂
A Battlestar Galactica rewatch sounds like fun. I just might have to do that too!
Enjoy your new books!
It’s great watching it again – I really had forgotten how good it was. 🙂
Thanks! Same to you. 🙂
