stacking the shelves bookish haul

Stacking the Shelves – a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews & Reading Reality

what’s the buzz: weekly round-up and book haul

Well, it’s that time of the week again and I’ve done pretty much no blogging all week – what a shocker eh? I’ve totally let everything slip this week (except for the spending money part – I’m always good at that!) 😉

Let’s see, what else have I been up to this week? I went to see Ma on Thursday which was actually not bad – not great – but not bad either. I also finally finished watching The Society – roll on season 2 (pretty please?!)

We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faizal | The Beholder by Anna Bright

A couple of new releases – I’m so looking forward to reading both of these! They sound so awesome (and those covers – I’m in love!) 😍

The Ring of Allaire by Susan Dexter | The Sword of Calandra by Susan Dexter | The Mountains of Channadran by Susan Flexter

I actually don’t know too much about this series but I was sucked in by the delightfully eighties covers! Honestly, fantasy books in the 1980s just had the best/most god-awful covers – take your pick! 🤣

Mr. Big Empty by Gregory Ashe | All the Inside Howling by Gregory Ashe | Dust Feast by Gregory Ashe

I am currently on book six (the very latest) of the Hazard and Somerset series so I’m going to need something to read when I finish that one (I’m going to be bereft, honestly!) 😘

The Mortal Sleep by Gregory Ashe | The Earl of Brass by Kara Jorgensen | The Gentleman Devil by Kara Jorgensen

I have to admit – I was sucked in by the covers of The Ingenious Mechanical Devices series – not gonna lie. 😉

We Hunt the Flame and The Beholder are two books I have heard amazing things about — so I will be curious to see what you think of them! I hope you love reading them and I am glad the visit didn’t go too badly in the end 🙂

  2. Those covers are so pretty!! It’s so hard not to fall in love with covers and then hope the book is as good as it’s aesthetics. I hope you like the reads, can’t wait to hear what you think of them!

  3. My dog just ate part of my cover for We Hunt the Flame 🙁 Haha it is still readable tho, so I hope its good. (she completely destroyed a Star Wars book of mine too and that one is not readable anymore)
