stacking the shelves bookish haul

Stacking the Shelves – a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews & Reading Reality

what’s the buzz: weekly round-up and book haul

This week was a pretty good one – I finished up work on Wednesday for a week’s (well, a week and a half if you are being technical about it) holiday and it’s my birthday tomorrow! Had a nice couple of lazy days (caught up on some of my reviews) and went to see the new Child’s Play film which was surprisingly decent (and a lot of thought-provoking than I was expecting). All in all, not a bad week at all. 😉

weekly bookish purchases

Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson | Perfectly Preventable Deaths by Deirdre Sullivan | Tangleweed and Brine by Deirdre Sullivan

This edition of Sorcery of Thorns is so pretty (with shimmery, sprayed edges)! The photo above really doesn’t do it justice. I also love the covers for Perfectly Preventable Deaths and Tangleweed and Brine. 😍

When No One Was Looking by Rosemary Wells

I actually already own When No One Was looking but it’s a different edition! I’m trying to collect as many of the Pan Horizon imprint as I can though so this was a totally necessary purchase (ahem).

Torn by Natalia Jaster | Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston | How (Not) to Ask a Boy to Prom by S.J. Goslee | Lock & West by Alexander C. Eberhart

I was super-lucky to get an ARC of Torn but I knew I’d have to buy it when it came out as well (I’m saving up for the paperback version too!) I was supposed to get the hardback of Red, White & Royal Blue but apparently my copy got damaged or something. Amazon cancelled my order so I opted for the eBook instead.

Undue Influence by Jenny Holiday | Lingus by Mariana Zapata | Wait for It by Mariana Zapata | Out in the Open by A.J. Truman

I picked up another coupe of Mariana Zapata’s books (I’m really enjoying the ones I have bought so far!) and I couldn’t resist a little Persuasion retelling either. 😉

Above the Star by Alexis Marie Chute | His Banana by Penelope Bloom | Trailer Trash by Marie Sexton | The Virgin Club by Kayley Wood

I read Trailer Trash right after buying it a couple of days ago and it was so good! It was my first Marie Sexton book but I’m definitely going to be checking out the rest of her works.

Rock the Boat by Rachael Herron | Heart of a Thief by Ella Miles | Tangled Beauty by K.L. Middleton | Rocked by M.L. Young

I call this the ripped abs row haha! I mean, seriously, look at those bad boys? There seems to be a slew of these types of covers right now – I’m actually glad these are on my Kindle because I could imagine the looks I would getting reading these in public! (Except, I don’t care – not really) 😛

Burndown by Winter Travers | The Brave Line by Kate Stewart | Falling for the Bad Boy by Kennedy Fox | Twice Shy by Mona Ingram

Some freebies I picked up this week (thank you BookBub!) These all look really good and I’m excited to make a start on them all (not at once obvs…)

A Throne for Sisters by Morgan Rice | Firebolt by Adrienne Woods | Deep Magic by Gillian St. Kevern | Mosquito Man by Jeremy Bates

Some more freebies I happened across (or went searching for more like haha!) These all sound pretty interesting and the covers are stunning!!

Love Handles by Gretchen Galway | Promise to Marry by Jessica Wood | After the Fog by Kathleen Shoop | Changes by Judith Arnold

This is the last of my freebie haul (well, for this week anyway!) I can’t believe I managed to find so many great-sounding titles – can’t wait to get stuck in!
