Stacking the Shelves – a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews & Reading Reality
what’s the buzz: weekly round-up and book haul
Well, I’ve done pretty much frack all this week, no blogging (it was touch and go whether or not this post would go up, even) and little to no reading (only the odd half hour I was able to snatch on my lunch breaks). I didn’t even get to the cinema at all despite planning to go a couple of times – it’s a pretty sad state of affairs… I blame the abnormally heavy rain we have been getting – it’s not often the area I live in is subject to flash flooding!
I did manage to snag some of the exclusive merch from Illumicrate that I was angling for though so the week hasn’t been a total loss! I got a couple of @rosiethorns88 prints and a couple of pins (designed by Fable and Black) that were available at their booth at YALC – makes up a little for not being able to go to the event itself (one of these days…) 😙
I’ve also been on a bit of a fanart spree lately. Many Redbubble and Etsy orders this week! I may have also bought a few book sleeves (because it would be rude not to haha!) The only thing I’ve not bought that much of is books… no physical copies anyways – all eBooks this week… (the one vintage book I got was in pretty poor shape – well, by my exacting standards anyway – so I’m not keeping it and to the charity shop it goes!)
on the blog:

weekly bookish purchases
The Serial Killer’s Daughter by Lesley Walsh | We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson | VOX by Christina Dalcher | Stepsister by Jennifer Donnelly
Just a couple of Kindle purchases this week but I couldn’t pass these up! I’ve always meant to read We Have Always Lived in the Castle but just never found the time – hopefully now I will make time for it!
freebies
Ashe Bids by Olivia Rigal | Playing a Player by Ivy Smoak | Mr Imperfect by Karina Bliss | Sucked into Love by Rochelle Paige
Some romance novels to keep me going – these all look very diverting! I’m looking forward to getting stuck in…
In Moonlight and Memories Vol One by Julie Ann Walker | A Tale of Two Houses by Susan Harris | Beneath by Maureen A. Miller | The Key by Jennifer Anne Davis
These covers are just so pretty (and they kinda all go well together, don’t you think?) I’m particularly intrigued by Beneath.
Too Tempting by Bethany Lopez | Every Breath You Take by Blair Babylon | Keeping Her by Alexis Noelle | My Clarity by M. Clarke
My last batch of freebies (I am so bad – I can never seem to pass a freebie up but I’ve found some great reads this way so I doubt I’m going to stop any time soon!)
received for review
The Witch of Endor by R.K. Wheeler | The Wicked Water by Emily Layne | Wildflowers Part I: Allaha of the Mountain by Aurora Lee Thornton | Ragkekai Winds by Peter Buckmaster
A few review copies to keep me going (like I’ve got a shortage haha!) The Wicked Water looks really interesting (and I’m loving the cover!)
Because of You by Allie Boniface | The Danger Dance by Caro Soles | Cilka’s Journey by Heather Morris | Angel Boy by Annalisa Russo
These all look really intriguing and I am very much looking forward to reading all of these. Can’t wait to get started!
Beneath the Ashes by Dea Poirier | Milestone by Carl Lakeland | To Be Your Girl by Rae Kennedy | Fugly by Claire Waller
I read Next Girl to Die a few months back and really enjoyed it so I’m looking forward to reading the follow-up Beneath the Ashes.
