what’s the buzz: weekly round-up and book haul
Well, with the world currently facing a global pandemic and things being so uncertain, it’s definitely an unsettling time right now. I have to admit, it is giving me a great deal of anxiety. It’s hard trying not to fall victim to the panic buying that seems to be sweeping the UK not to mention all the uncertainty around how everyone is going to support themselves if there is no work.
Still, that hasn’t stopped me from shopping online! I think I’ve probably bought more than normal (must be the stress!)
- The Untamed seasons (winter and summer) acrylic stands purchased from eBay: I really love both of these (and have ordered spring and autumn too!)
- Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian / Lan Wangji acrylic keychains purchased from Amazon marketplace: I couldn’t resist these either. 😉
- The Untamed postcard and sticker pack purchased from eBay: I ordered this a wee while ago and it finally came – yay!
- The Untamed and Wang Yibo / Xiao Zhan stickers purchased from eBay: yet another eBay purchase – I really need to be stopped haha!
- Lotus Pier pin from Ephemeral Pins: I had my eye on this and was waiting to get paid but they went out of stock. However, a few weeks back they were re-stocked as part of a sale and I was super lucky in managing to snag one!

- Book sleeve (spooky Disney / Tim Burton style!) from Book Besties UK: I absolutely love this design – the photo doesn’t do it justice…
- Make up from Barry M: Feline Fantasy bundle and a few other odds and ends. It’s been ages since I bought any make up and their line is nearly entirely vegan now which is fab for me!

- The Untamed acrylic stands from purchased from eBay: I love these and of course couldn’t resist adding them to my small (or not so small anymore) collection of Untamed merch!
- Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo keychains from eBay: How cute are these? I could honestly melt away from the cuteness…
- The Witcher pin from Illumicrate Pin Club designed by Fable and Black: this pin was well worth waiting for – might just be my favourite monthly pin from them yet!
- The Untamed ‘piggyback’ pin from KRScentic: I adore this pin! I’m so happy to add it to my collection.
- Wei Wuxian Chen Qing Flute purchased from Amazon marketplace: Another prop I probably don’t need but I love it so I can’t feel too bad… 😉

- Book jacket book sleeve from Book Besties UK (Harry Potter / Friends mashup!): This is the cutest sleeve ever! I will definitely be getting more of this style.
- Xie Lien and Hua Cheng acrylic keychains/stands from eBay: These little figures are just too cute! I am really curious about Heaven Official’s Blessing and definitely will be reading it soon. 🙂
- Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian keychains purchased from eBay: I waited ages for these but they were definitely worth waiting for. They are just too adorable.
- Earrings from Jewellery Fountain: I’ve had my eye on the Galaxy themed earrings of theirs for a while and couldn’t resist picking them up along with these cute little studs. 😍
- The Untamed badge purchased from Amazon marketplace: I’ve nearly got the whole set now – only a couple more to go!

On the plus side, the downtime has given me more time to watch The Untamed! I also watched the newest spin-off Fatal Journey this week and it was so good! I thought I loved Nie Huaisang before but damn… Major MVP for sure! This backstory about the Nie brothers was so sad. It really gave weight to Nie Huaisang seeking revenge for his older brother. All I can say is damn you Jin Guangyao for tearing these two brothers apart!
I’ve also been replaying the Mass Effect trilogy. I just finished Mass Effect 1 and have moved onto the second game yesterday. I’m hoping to be able to replay Mass Effect 3 once I’m finished 2 because I actually have only ever played the game to full completion once (got a bit burned out by the ending so no mater how many times I loaded up a new character I just couldn’t bring myself to finish it). Perspective being a great thing and all that so hopefully will not feel as bummed out as I did back then. 👍
