Stacking The Shelves – a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews
Stacking the Shelves
Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
- Participants are to create their own Stacking the Shelves post and link bank to Tynga’s Reviews so more people can join the fun!
- Posts can be laid out any way you want.
- The host site posts updates on a Saturday but bloggers taking part can post any day they choose.
- Visit Tynga’s Reviews on a Saturday and add your link.
- Visit other participants sites to find out what they have added!
The rules are simple and it is a really fun way to showcase your books and see what other bloggers are excited about this week! Not to mention the fact that it is a good way to interact with and get to know other bloggers!

here are the books i added to my shelves this week:
bought:
I am so excited for The Shattered Court and Magonia – I have been looking forward to both of them for ages and I had to snatch them up as soon as they were released! I also bought (and read) Jeff Kass’ book about Columbine which was an interesting albeit disturbing read.
freebies:
I saw The Estate being reviewed by a fellow book blogger and decided to check it out – I was stoked to find out it was free on Kindle! The Girl in Between also looked really interesting so I picked that up too. I also came across Geek Girl which I have been wanting to read for ages.
As well as the above freebies, I also picked up another four which looked interesting. I love the simplicity of the Shattered Rose cover – so elegant. I also picked up a couple of paranormal/urban fantasy books (been wanting to get back into the genre) and Holding On – a contemporary romance that looked intriguing.
kindle first:
Every month, Amazon offers the chance to its Prime members to pick up a forthcoming release a month ahead of its scheduled release date (for free!). I picked Sugar this month, after seeing some very positive reviews.
for review:
Emmy & Oliver looks pretty amazing so I was chuffed to bits when I was approved for an ARC. I also stumbled across The Child Garden which looks pretty awesome. The Girl of his Dreams is a classic young adult book which has been re-released so I couldn’t resist this too. 😉
giveaways:
I won Sail With Me in a giveaway awhile back and the author gifted the book to me along with a copy of a compilation of her short stories which I thought was really lovely of her. Big thanks to Rilzy Adams and to Gen for hosting the giveaway.

I’ve got the Aurora Sky books in paperback waiting to be read on my shelves! I keep saying I’ll get round to it but I have so many books I need to read right now! Hopefully we’ll both love it!
I do exactly the same thing – the I get distracted by all the new pretties lol. There are just too many amazing books out there. 😀
The Shattered Court was a really good book. The rest of your books look fabulous.

Great haul! I’ve been hearing some really great things about Magonia so I’ll HAVE to pick it up soon 🙂
I hope you enjoy all of your new books!
Thanks! Magonia looks amazing – I am keeping my fingers crossed that it lives up to the hype!! 😀
