Top Ten Books On My Fall To-Be-Read list
I do like this time of year )it’s my favourite season) and I like finding books to fit with the season! Here are some of my top picks that I’m hoping to read this fall:
Divergent by Veronica Roth | The Maze Runner by James Dashner | Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas | Of Metal and Wishes by Sarah Fine | Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson
1. Divergent by Veronica Roth
This book has been on my TBR shelf forever – I really need to finally read it especially since I have now seen the film which I promised I wouldn’t do unless I had read the book (my bad).
2. Maze Runner by James Dashner
I only bought this series a few months ago but it is one that I have had my eye on for a very long time. With the movie coming out in a few weeks, I would like to try and read the book first.
3. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
Another book that I have had sitting on my shelf for absolutely ages. Nearly everyone I know in the bookish community raves about this series so I think it is about time that I took the plunge.
4. Of Metal and Wishes by Sarah Fine
This looks like a really creepy read – perfect for Halloween wouldn’t you say? 😉 I do love a spooky read now and again and this looks like the perfect fit for me.
5. Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson
I recently read (and thoroughly enjoyed) Second Chance Summer so I am keen to read Morgan Matson’s newest book.
What We Hide by Marthe Jocelyn | Conversion by Katherine Howe | Boys Like You by Juliana Stone | Trial by Fire by Josephine Angelini | The Jewel by Amy Ewing
6. What We Hide by Marthe Jocelyn
This looks like a really intriguing read plus the cover just screams ‘autumn’ to me! Definitely a book to get curled up with on a cooling autumn night.
7. Conversion by Katherine Howe
Another spooky one, this time it is a retelling of the Salem witch trials – so excited for this!! I love how minimalist the cover is too!
8. Boys Like You by Juliana Stone
I meant to read this one in the summer so it is a bit of a carry-over! It sounds really interesting and I’m definitely looking forward to reading it.
9. Trial by Fire by Josephine Angelini
I haven’t read anything by this author before but the blurb looked interesting. It is definitely one I am going to get to sooner rather than later.
10. The Jewel by Amy Ewing
This is a book I have been eagerly anticipating and despite having seen some less than stellar reviews, I still really want to read it.

Throne of Glass, Divergent, and the Maze Runner are excellent!
Awesome to hear – I am looking forward to all of them! The only problem is I don’t know which to read first…decisions, decisions!! 😉
What We Hide is a very interesting read indeed–I didn’t hate it but I didn’t love it either (perplexing, I know!) But it’s pretty short, so it should make an easy read!
Cheers,
joey via. thoughts and afterthoughts
I know what you mean – some books sit solidly between the two extremes. As long as I is interesting I will enjoy it. 🙂
Short reads are good right now – I really do not have the endurance for massive tomes at the moment. 😉
Yeah it definitely reads like a collection of connected stories (on the record: my favourite story arc was Percy). But I can’t really say if anything really happens…though that could be the intent..!?
Hmm, sounds intriguing but may make it a bit hard to connect to the characters…
I’ve seen Throne of Glass a bunch of places, too. I really need to go see if my library has it.
It has been getting a lot of hype which both makes me want to read and leaves me feeling a bit wary at the same time… lol 😉
