You may have noticed that some changes have been going on around this here blog of mine. I decided I wasn’t completely happy with my previous design and wanted to freshen things up a bit.
After a lot of tweaking and many (many!) false starts; I now have a look I am really happy with! I splurged a little recently buying some really awesome graphics from the amazing Design Cuts website. They have such awesome deals and some really talented designers are featured in these deals.
I have used some elements created by the fabulously talented Lisa Glanz (namely the background and some of the design graphics such as the cute little flowers and wreath). This also strongly influenced the colour scheme I ended up going with.
The great thing about the Tweak Me theme (created by the awesome Ashley @ Creative Whim) is that it is really easy to tweak to make something that is unique. I used one of the presets given with the theme as a base but I am still amazed how many different looks you can make with this theme.
Not everything is completely brought up-to-date and some of the formatting still looks a little bit wonky not to mention the fact that I still have a lot of maintenance to do from bringing my blog over to self-hosted (sometimes I think I really should have just paid for the transfer) but I am looking forward to the challenge!

I think it is looking really good! I just brought mine over to self hosted too and I was wishing the same thing! But now I am glad I did it myself because I think I know where to find things? Hope you are getting along with self hosted ok!

I liked the look of your old blog (and the pink) but I think you did a wonderful job with the new design – it is brighter and fresher, and the color scheme is lovely! I’m glad you found something you love!
