Stacking The Shelves – a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews
Stacking the Shelves
Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
- Participants are to create their own Stacking the Shelves post and link bank to Tynga’s Reviews so more people can join the fun!
- Posts can be laid out any way you want.
- The host site posts updates on a Saturday but bloggers taking part can post any day they choose.
- Visit Tynga’s Reviews on a Saturday and add your link.
- Visit other participants sites to find out what they have added!
The rules are simple and it is a really fun way to showcase your books and see what other bloggers are excited about this week! Not to mention the fact that it is a good way to interact with and get to know other bloggers!

here are the books i added to my shelves this week:
bought:
I have been champing at the bit to read Ember in the Ashes! I was so disappointed that it wasn’t out the same time as the US but I’ve got it in my grubby little hands now and I can’t wait to start it! I also picked up Something Like Thunder (I love Jay Bell’s Something Like… series) and also Tin Lily which I have heard a lot of rave reviews for.
I also picked up another couple of vintage young adult books. I got the second in the Alanna series (bought the first one a while back) and also The Tricksters by Margaret Mahy. Don’t you think the girl on the cover is the doppelganger of Cara Delevingne?

I did pick up a bunch of other vintage young adult books (I love Ebay!!) but they haven’t arrived yet so look for those in next week’s post!
freebies:
I can never resist a freebie (like, ever!) and both of these books look really good, if vastly different. 😉 I really love the cover of When You’re Ready too.
kindle first:
I love getting books ahead of their release date (and for free!) – being able to do this has really encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone with books. This thriller looks like a really awesome read.
for review:
I am so happy to be approved for Lair of Dreams! I read and loved The Diviners when it first came out and it seems like we have had to wait an age for the next book. Suicide Notes from Beautiful Girls looks really interesting and Lying Out Loud looks great too. I have The Duff sitting on my shelf so I think it is about time to dust it off and read it (and then Lying Out Loud). The Ugly Stepsister also looks pretty cool – an interesting spin on the Cinderella story for sure!
giveaways:
Thanks to the lovely folks @ Dark Faerie Tales for hosting this giveaway and to the author Daisy Banks – I am super-stoked to have won this book and I am really looking forward to reading it.

The Cara Delevingne comparison is AMAZING. Made me laugh so hard! Great haul by the way!
Lol – it could totally be her twin (if, you know, the book hadn’t been released way before she was born!!) 😉 The resemblance is uncanny.
I’m so impatient when I can’t wait for a book release! You must be excited to get your hands on it. Enjoy your books!
Thanks! I am really super-excited to read it. I was going to start last night but then decided to have a wee drink instead… 😉
Great haul! I’ve heard tons of amazing things about An Ember in the Ashes. It sounds so amazing! Happy reading. 🙂
Krystianna @ Downright Dystopian
Thanks! Ember in the Ashes does look so amazing – I am so excited that it is finally out in the UK! 🙂
