Stacking the Shelves – a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews & Reading Reality
what’s the buzz
Been a busy week, lots of buzz about it! Busy, busy, busy at work but still managing to find time to read, blog, sleep, and buy books so not too shabby at all! Went to the cinema on Thursday (my day off) to see ‘Ant Man and the Wasp’ which I thoroughly enjoyed (seriously, has Paul Rudd been drinking from the font of eternal youth or what?) 😉
Also started reading the ‘Iron Breakers’ series by Zaya Feli (after finishing and loving ‘Teeth’) which I am completely and utterly enthralled with. Also trying to juggle reading ‘Raised by Wolves’ by W. A. Hoffman which is so good but man is it dense! I’m a quick reader but it is taking a while to get through this book (because I want to soak it all in). Loving it too.
books bought
There is nothing better (well, to me anyway!) than a nice little bundle of books to read. Vintage or new, hard copy or eBook – it’s all good to me. Here are my most recent purchases:
My Best Enemy by Janet Quin-Harkin | Lifeguard Summer by Jill Jarnow | Bad Blood by Debra Doyle & James D. MacDonald | The Vampire’s Kiss by Jesse Harris | Judgement Night by Deabra Doyle & James D. MacDonald
Another couple of ‘Sweet Dreams’ titles. Janet Quin-Harkin’s books were always my favourites when I read these books as a youngster so I’m pretty happy to add another one to my collection. I also remember liking ‘Lifeguard Summer’ so I couldn’t resist this one either!
‘Bad Blood’ and ‘Judgement Night’ and books one and three of a trilogy (book two is on the way!) I’ve heard so many great things about this series so I am beyond happy to add it to my shelves. I also picked up another entry in ‘The Power’ series – only two more to go and I’ll have the whole set!
Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz
I already own this book on Kindle but I have wanted a physical copy for absolutely ages (I always buy a hard copy of my very favourite books!) It’s so pretty… and it goes perfectly with my book sleeve from BookBestiesUK which is Day of the Dead-themed!
The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken | Ravensong by T.J. Klune
I can’t actually believe I haven’t bought ‘The Darkest Minds’ before now – I was sure I had? Nevermind, I’ve bought it now! I also picked up ‘Ravensong’ – been waiting for this release for ages! Such a buzz to finally have it in my hands (well, Kindle!)
The Hating Game by Sally Thorne | All This I Will Give to You by Dolores Redondo
‘The Hating Game’ looks so cute – I really can’t wait to dive into this (am I’m not usually one for rom coms!) I also am pretty intrigued by ‘All This I Will Give to You’ – looks really twisty!
received for review
Fury by Rachel Vincent | Loving A Warrior by Melanie Hansen
I adore Rachel Vincent’s books so I’m really looking forward to reading ‘Fury’! I also recently discovered Melanie Hansen and she has quickly become a new favourite author so always happy to have a new book to devour!

I like the Hating Game cover too. Hope it’s a good one.
Great photos! I loved Aristotle & Dante. I need to reread it soon. Enjoy your new books!
