Top Ten Tuesday is an awesome meme previously hosted by the lovely folks @ The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s theme is top ten:
Longest Books I’ve Ever Read
I’m pretty sure I’ve already done a topic featuring the longest books I have ever read but I’m too lazy to go and check just now! So, we’ll just call this an updated version!
The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien: I know this is technically three books but I’ve only ever read it in omnibus form. Total number of pages = 1193.
A Storm of Swords by G.R.R. Martin: I’m totally not surprised Martin ended up on this list because his books are flipping huge! Total number of pages = 1179.
The Stand by Stephen King: This is the extended cut of the book which is longer than the original version. It’s pretty much a brick! Total number of pages = 1153.
It by Stephen King: Another King book, It was by far my favourite of King’s works growing up. Total number of pages = 1116.
A Feast for Crows by George R.R. Martin: Yet another Martin book, this one is another beast. Total number of pages = 1061.
Child of Flame by Kate Elliott: This book is pretty dense but definitely worth the read (as is the whole series). Total number of pages = 1039.
The Gathering Storm by Kate Elliott: These books are massive. Good, but they pack a lot of words in them. Total number of pages = 1037.
A Dance with Dragons by George R.R. Martin: This is the final Martin book on this list – pinky promise! Total number of pages = 1016.
Kushiel’s Dart by Jacqueline Carey: I love Carey’s writing but man, her books are looonng! Total number of pages = 1015.
Swan Song by Robert R. McCammon: This book is amazing. Even though it is super-long, it passes by so quickly (too quickly even). Total number of pages = 956.

Wow! I need to start reading bricks. For some reason, I rarely read any long books but hopefully, I can tackle some in the near future.
I have not read any of the novels on your TTT post! They look like really good reads. Hopefully one day I’ll be able to get around to reading a few of them!
