Stacking the Shelves – a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews & Reading Reality
what’s the buzz: weekly round-up
Nothing much happened this week at all (which is actually a relief after the nightmare that was last week). Trying to redirect my focus onto getting organised for Christmas so have spent way less money on books this week. Still, it wasn’t a total loss and I have managed to acquire some rare and hard-to-find books.
my bookish haul
As mentioned above, I haven’t bought too much this week but I still managed to get a couple of hard-to-find titles as well as a collector’s editions so it’s not too poor a show. 😉
physical copies:
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
Isn’t this edition just so pretty? I’m glad I decided to buy the collector’s edition (now I just need to read the series which shouldn’t be hard now I’ve got all the books!)
Dragonslayer by Wayland Drew | Late Spring by R.F. Delderfield | The Headmaster by R.F. Delderfield | Five Were Missing by Lois Duncan | The Puppet Masters by Robert A. Heinlein
An eclectic mix, to be sure! I’m happy with the books I got this week though. ‘To Serve Them All My Days’ is one of my favourite books and I actually used to own these editions (the book was split into two volumes). I’m not sure what exactly happened to my copies, lost to time, I expect…
ebooks:
Boy’s Life by Robert R. McCammon | An Ace and a Pair by Blake Banner | Watching by Blake Pierce | Cold Press by David Bradwell
I’ve been meaning to buy ‘Boy’s Life’ for ages so when I saw it going for £2 on Kindle I knew it was time. Doesn’t mean I probably won’t buy a physical copy somewhere down the line though…
for review:
A Touch of Brogue by Christine Danse | Binding Blood by Daniel De Lorne
Only a couple of ARCs this week (really trying to cut down after my *ahem* over-requesting last week!) I didn’t realise ‘Binding Blood’ was the third book o a trilogy so I’m going to need to get the first two books before I start this one. 😉

Nice Maas edition. I need to continue that series sometime. Catching up with series can be tough. Happy reading.
That is a beautiful edition of the Maas book. I haven’t started that series either!
